2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GregClow (2645) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 12, 2006
Can from the LCBO. Clear light gold with a small qhite head that recedes quickly. Aroma of grainy malt with some decent honey and herb notes. Light, crisp body. Sweet honeyish malt off the top of the flavour, leading into an interesting lemony middle, and a mild, herbal finish. I got none of the corn notes that a lot of raters seem to have gotten - it’s an unexciting beer to be sure, but a fairly clean and adjunct-free one to my nose & palate.

Pours a pale straw coloured hue with good carbonation and a fluffy head. Well hopped corn and malt taste with faint citrus flavour. Not too bad. (500ml can)

Not a bad offering. Much better than the overhyped ghetto-wannabe-Heineken. Good initial flavor and satisfying finish.

Nice beer, good flavor from hops. Reminds me of Heineken, which I don’t mind either. Not bad....

This not a bad beer at all, it is refreshing and has a very nice bitterness, similiar to heineken, becks, stpauli, etc. Just another average crisp euro brew that does the job when needed

Bottle. Pours pale with a large frothy white head. Hoppy aroma. Fresh fruity taste, nice long bitter end. Not bad.

Canette 500 ml. 5%. Il semble très difficile d’identifier correctement cette bière parmis les sortes présentées. Celle ci est la Bavaria Holland Beer, une lager à 5%. C’est pourtant très clair sur le site de la brasserie.
Couleur jaune or, mousse blanche. Arôme de céréale. Assez mince en bouche, elle est douce, peu maltée et très légèrement houblonnée. J’imagine qu’elle devrait bien se boire lors d’une journée très chaude. Correct

Tasted from bottle into nucleated pint glass. Poured a clear straw color with a tall white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. A small layer of bubbles persisted the whole time I was drinking it. Aroma of grain and musky hops. Flavor was typical of a quality pale lager: mild malt sweetness with flavorful hops bitterness, no adjuncts that I can detect, slightly perfumey lager fermentation. Slight bubble gum and pepper yeast esters emerged as it warmed. Extremely dry, refreshing finish. As basic "export lagers" go, this one’s alright.
