Commercial Description:
When Germans and Russians raised their glasses in a Munich Bierkeller in 1919 and the casks went dry, they extended their evening and their Weizen beer with lemonade. A delicious outrage was developed under the name "Russ" as an original Bavarian beergarden specialty.

Bottle, 50cl. The label is strange, with two girls whispering something to each other behind a slice of a lemon!!! A very nice drink this Russ. Smooth and refreshing, it seems like a mixture between a weizenbier and a lemonade (50% of each). Pale yellow colour (hazy) with a good white head, creamy and consistent. Good carbonation. Lemony aroma with some yeast also present, typical in a wheat beer. Flavour is very refreshing and not too much sweet (just with a hint of lemon). Light body. A very good drink although not "completely" a beer.

Bottle, 2.7%. Lemonade aroma, seems more rounded than the ones mixed with lager. Hazy pale yellow colour. Nice stable creamy white head. Extremely sweet flavour. Sugary. Good wheat mouthfeel.

The bottle looks a little bit old, the beer in the glass is okay. Tastes very fruity and fresh, not too sweet and chemical. Good beer!

For those non-Germans in the audience, a Russ is like a Radler except a Weizen beer is used. Aroma is only of the lemonade (Sprite/Mountain Dew). Color light yellow. Flavor primarily of lemon soda with the merest hint of the Weizen. This is a good thirst quencher but not much in the way of beer flavor.
