Alengrin (922) - BELGIUM - JUL 26, 2014
Typical mass-marketed top-fermented Dutch lentebok with pale yellowish, mousse-like, sticky head and deep orange-blonde colour, near amber, cristal clear. Weak bready aroma of caramel, dough, aniseed, coriander, earth, carrots, nutmeg, citrus peel and mango. Taste a light and smooth, caramelly maltiness, not really sweet, bit oily mouthfeel, drying towards the end with clear coriander (though still subtle) and a bit of hop bitterness in the finish, where a bit of the aniseed also pops up. Not the best in this particular style, but still rather enjoyable.

Dark brown. Red edges, 1 finger creamy head Nose is very nice. Birch wood, oak and caramel. Taste is also great. Slightly sweet with caramel and German yeast with a moderate chalky finish. There is some fruit like raisins as well

This beer has a surprising amount of alcohol for how weak its palate and light its body would make you assume. Like most spring bocks, this one is overly sweet, a syrupy sweetness.

Bottle: Small to medium airy off white head on top of a clear yellow orange colored beer. Smell is pretty fresh: some hops and flowers with hints of malts, herbs and yeast. Taste is very sweet with hints of hops, soap, hints of yeast, medium bitter, malts and spices. Sweet flowery hoppy herby aftertaste. Medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.

Clear yellow / orange color, slightly off-white head. Nice fresh smell, decent taste. Low to medium body and carbo.

The colour of the bottle makes me want to cry. The beer is not that bad, but it’s just not how i like it.

Test vom 13.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,8,8,12,8 - 8,35

TaxiDriver (1472) - Stadland, GERMANY - APR 22, 2010
Bottle. The smell of malt and fresh bread, light sour. The medium large white foamy head has a short duration, the body is dark orange. The taste is malty and bitter with a light sour finish. The body is lively, light dry and light to medium strong with a normal carbonation.
