Bottled. A dark red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of artificial sweetener, malt, and a bit of vinegar. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel.

Clear medium red brown color with a small to average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, bread, roasted, caramel, acidic, sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090403]

Bottle, 1.5%. Farty soy aroma, some tinned beef. Clear dark brown colour. The flavour is quite sweet. A lot like hvidtøl, only with a drier finish. Not a faro at all, of course.

Beer poured a dark brown, soda like color with a solid tan head with large bubbles. The aroma was malty, spent grainish. The taste was very sweet, soda like, almost like a cream soda. Even at only 1.5% this was a hard beer to get down and I could not finish it.

Good dark, yellow-brown head over faintly red-shot, very dark brown beer. Small nose, rosewater, chocolate, slightly rotten. Dry main taste, nearly woody, but overlaid by a cloying artificial sweetness. Sticky, falsely thickened body. Not very much to enjoy. OK for children, but mine preferred the Blonde.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a good tan head. Smells like cooked malt. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Mildly sweet, slightly fruity. No bitter to mention. Turns watery as the carbonation goes. Still, it goes down rather pleasantly. We could use a beer like this in the United States.

(Bottle 25 cl) Brown, clear beer with a small off-white head. Nose of roasted malt and sugar. Although this has artificial sweeteners it doesn’t come out chemical or artificial. Thanks to that this is a pleasant and easy to drink table beer. 080599
