COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Flanders, "Ezel" {donkey} is a nickname given to specific people or even entire village communities. However, as the people of this area, the word "Ezel" symbolizes not so much stupidity, but patient and dogged perseverance, a perseverance that is quite conscious of its own quality. The same applies to this ale: brewed from raw materials of the highest quality, it has a mellow taste that shows a real personality.

25cl bottle (Cambrinus, Bruges)
6- Sweet caramelly dark fruits, including plum.
3 Vivid orangy red, brief small head
6 Some toffee in the retronasals, very malt oriented
3 Feels thin, as if it’s been watered down, but of course, as it’s 6.5%, feeling weak is almost a complement. Very very gentle woody and nutty finish.
12 Adequate, but uninspiring. Too much based on sweet malts, neither classy enough to get away with such a narrow focus, nor with enough complexity.

Tap, 25 cl. Amber-light brown coloured beer with medium white head. Aroma is malty, light hoppy, some caramel and spicy notes included. Taste is malty, light sweet, hoppy with a light bitter dry finish. Not bad, but overall an average beer.

Bottle at home. Pours out amber coloured, ok head, could maybe hold some longer, but sticks ok to the glass. A bit of an unpleasant earthy-bready smell. Some red fruits and caramel inside also. Very caramel-earthy taste with prunes and other red fruits. A bit of all... biterness, sweetness and sourness all comes up, but not really balanced, mostly sweetness it seems. It’s drinkeable, but that’s it for me...
