Commercial Description:
In Flanders, "Ezel" {donkey} is a nickname given to specific people or even entire village communities. However, as the people of this area, the word "Ezel" symbolizes not so much stupidity, but patient and dogged perseverance, a perseverance that is quite conscious of its own quality. The same applies to this ale: brewed from raw materials of the highest quality, it has a mellow taste that shows a real personality.

(Bottle 25 cl) Dark amber with a nice fluffy head. Very roasted maltiness and some spiciness - coriander again? Some sweetness from the malts and perhaps a bit of brown sugar. Very subdued bitterness. 270198

25 cL bottle, thanks to MiP. Pours golden amber with a lacing off-white head. Light spiced and caramel malty aroma. Flavour light fruity (dried to overripe), and light yeasty. Somewhat oxidised, yet not to dominantly. Ends with a light fruity note and no real bitterness.

Bottled. Reddish amber colour with mediumsized bubbly head, which quickly goes into a smallsized beige, longlasting one. Aroma is roasted malts, sour fruits with marzipan and a slight sticky alcoholic tone. Flavour is caramelly, malty, slightly metallic and ryeish. Watery palate, and quite "bulk feeling". Very boring.

Bottle. Clear medium amber color with a average, fizzy to frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sugar, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet (malt / sugar sweet) with a average to long duration. Unbalanced. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
