3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at TND (at 8.5%ABV per the keg): Aroma of malt, grain, must, and yeast. Poured yellow/gold in color with a large, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, grain, hops, corn, yeast, and a hint of fruit. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, grain, slight hop, yeast finish is dry. 8.5%ABV is completely hidden throughout, making this a dangerous triple.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Golden, large and mostly lasting head. Moderate, malty - some wheat and sweetish aroma, some fruitiness, light spiciness (coriander), faint citrus and yeast. Body is medium, malty - some wheat and sweet flavor, fruitiness and light spiciness, some caramel. Finish is average, malty - lightly wheaty and sweetish, some fruitiness and caramel, faint spiciness, some alcohol. Caramel sweetish and fruity tripel, nothing wrong - nothing special. Nice head, though.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle from Belgian Beer Station
Like its dark sister, this refreshing blond has a thick, fizzy, noisy head, dissapearing very slowly. Serve this beer carefully because you will have a 10cm thick head before you can blink an eye. Pilaarbijter blond has a bright golden clear color with a nice and gentle fine carbonation.
The very yeasty smell can be detected from far. Only a light fruity note is added to the yeasty aroma.
The taste is light malty, fruity and reveals a clear hop bitterness. Sweetness appears when the beer warms up. The finish is fairly bitter and dry. Pilaarbijter Blond has a pleasant and warming alcohol presence and a sticky sweet mouthfeel.

4/11/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 5/11/12 (2011-614)
Clear blond to light orange beer, big creamy head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: alcohol, rotten fruits, honey, bit sour, overripe kiwis. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very medicinal, rotten fruits, alcohol, citric sour, some honey, weird bitterness. Aftertaste: bitter, rotten fruits. Has the bottle been mistreated? Letís hope so, it was awfull. Calls for a rerating.

Draft, Flying Saucer, Houston .. . poured a medium gold, light sticky foam .. . come on lads! .. . honey, yeast, spicy toffee, and tart honey .. . not a bad beer, but nothing great either, probably the weakest of the night .. . . Iíll make the money by selling one of my livers. I can get by with one.
