Bière sous licence du diocèse de Bruges par un brasseur des Belgian Family Brewers. Soyons attentif ! Bière non pas à 7,5 % abv comme indiqué sur le site, mais à 8,5 %. Soyons attentif !. Triple donc car refermentée en bouteille. Soyons attentif ! Etiquette inspirée de Bruegel l’ancien, avec le « pitbull de pilier », mais dit le brasseur en aparté : « bière avec une âme »... Soyons attentif ! Couleur vieil or brillant. Clarté nette jusqu’à la levure au versage. Bulles assez grosses mais d’une vitalité exceptionnelle (les chutes du Niagara...). Mousse blanche épaisse à flocons moyens. Arômes très jolis de houblon, croûte de pain, fruits blancs, malt et belle levure. Grande 1ère bouche au volume structuré sur un complexe malt/houblon très affirmé. Arrière-bouche pleine, vigoureuse avec une pointe de tabac. 2ème bouche superbe, mie de pain, petite pointe de pain d’épices. 3ème nez avec une pointe de nougat sur des fleurs de houblon. 3ème bouche de plus en plus pleine, et axée sur le malt. Longueur où on savoure à plein régime chaque gorgée. Levure qui est une véritable soie, avec une pointe citronnée, magnifique. Alcool qui soutient bien son sujet. Finale qui trouve encore de nouvelles nuances. CONCLUSION. Vraie bière, comme dit le brasseur, qui a une âme. Ceci vaut certainement toutes les wittekerke du monde (beau jeu de mots pour un pitbull de pilier qui se bat donc contre des églises blanches … et d’autant plus que les deux bières sont du même brasseur... et que celui-ci a fait une campagne pub d’enfer sur la blanche église …) Waf waf ...

Poured a clear amber with a big, frothy white head. Aroma of orange citrus. Medium body, flavour of the orange, quite sweet with some clove.

33 cl. bottle procured @ ALBO. BBF 15/09/2014. 8 % ABV. A beer with soul according to the label. Label is inspired by the painting of Pieter Breughel – “Flemish Proverbs”. Bright clear golden with bubbles rising, huge white head when initially poured but the head quickly diminishes. Every time I pour it rises again greatly and I hate to wait before it recedes. Smell is oddly sweet, artificial citrus and quite odd but clean BE yeast, sweet as well, soapy esters,.. weird and not entirely appealing to me, some apple sweetness,… Taste is sweet odd artificial apples, applesauce, sweet grains, fake lemon, spices, esters, beauty shop creams, odd bitterness,… Overly carbonated, very clean etc. but the taste doesn’t sit too well with me.

Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Aroma of fruits, some yeast and caramel. Flavor of toffee, citrus fruits, yeast and spice notes. Nice.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg. Golden with a big loose white head. Fruity malty aroma with some citrus. Fairly bitter taste, not as sweet as other blonds. Lively carbonation and a clean dry aftertaste.

Botella de 33 Cl. Una pena que existan cervezas triples de no muy alta calidad.

Aroma has citrus, some floral notes, fruits and hints of spices. Flavour is somewhat spicy with fruits, citrus and some floral notes. Refreshing, more ordinary and better than Bruin.

bottle at home ... golden amber ... huge white head ... soft dry salty ... bitter nose .. WAY too fizzy ... floral bitterness ... soft yeast ... odd fruity flavours

33cl Bottle at De Wiering, Leuven. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma is spicy, wheat, lots of clove, coreander, light fruity, hint of citrus. Flavour is medium sweet, light malty, quite spicy with clove and coreander, light citrus, light bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied, a bit overcarbonated, but nice imo.

Starts as malt, medium sweet ends as banana and not bitter. No great evolution while drinking.
