Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 19, 2004 A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of berries, coriander, cowberries, and raisins. The flavor is also very sweet with notes of coriander and alcohol prickling the tongue. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 4, 2005 Bottled. Dark ruby with rich, firm head. Orangey, juicy, yeasty aroma. Sweet and sour, with vinous character and notes of rosehip. Fairly light bodied with salty, grassy finish. Very interesting flavourwise, but the body feels a bit thin. Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 9, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, orangey brown with a creamy, beige head. Aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium body with a heavy carbonation, sweetish roasted malts, some overripe fruit and alcohol. Some bittering hops in the finish. Decent. 080607 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 10, 2007 Gotta first give credit - where does an artistic concept like a guy biting a pillar come from?
Reddish-brown colour. Big fluffy head. Rich brown sugar, plu, pear nose with abundant spicy, footy yeastiness. The body’s a little fizzy, hiding a light dusty yeast and sweet dark malts, dates. There’s a slight sharpness late - at this point its faint enough that it could just be alcohol but I worry. It’s got just enough character to be characterful but is still a fairly standard-issue brew. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 24, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours deep amber with huge light tan head. Light note of dried fruit in the aroma. Creamy carbonated mouthfeel. Fruity, caramel malt and a light spiced yeast flavour. Goes into a light spiced fruity finish.
