Bottle (33cl). Shared with blankboy and GregClow, my bottle courtesy of mes_and_sim (mes). Cloudy copper pour, huge fluffy beige lasting head. Dry, spicy, slightly lemony aroma, sweet malt pretty much buried by those; somewhat herbal/earthy. Taste has much more spicy candyish malt up front, Very lively mouthfeel, a little sour, with a quick finish. It’s okay ... thanks for this, mes!!

Aug 15, 2008 330 ml bottle. ruby brown colour. BIG off white head. not as carbonated as the blond, but still to much. taste is not as dark as I hoped, more fruity than I expected...

Aug 14, 2008 Bottle in Bruges. Dark amber brown colour, beige fluffy head. Aroma of caramel and forest fruits, yeast. Flavour is dry, roasted malts, spices and yeast, forest fruits. OK

Jul 2, 2008 Pours a murky brown-maroon color with thin tan frothy head. It has a light sweet chocolate and phenol aroma. Smooth body with a slight stickiness. Caramel and chocolate flavor with some tart cherries and a light spiciness. The tartness is unexpected and makes me wonder whether it was a bad bottle or a flemish influence. Drinkable but lacks depth.
