mgermani (648), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 31, 2007 Pours a cloudy amber-brown with a huge, loose-bubble off-white head. Slightly off aroma, metallic and yeasty. Fruity, tart taste at first - cherry and grape; opens up into a cookie/biscuit taste, slight roasted notes, some slight bittering hops. WAY overcarbonated, I had to use the old milk-frother trick to flatten it out a bit - the carbonation was severly limiting the taste. With an aggressive pour and a huge glass to hold the enormous head, this wouldn’t be such a bad beer.

OK BoBoChamp (804), Gent, Belgium Jul 20, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, yet complex, clear, rocky head, nice brew joohefner (379), Isla Vista, California, USA Jul 2, 2008 Pours a murky brown-maroon color with thin tan frothy head. It has a light sweet chocolate and phenol aroma. Smooth body with a slight stickiness. Caramel and chocolate flavor with some tart cherries and a light spiciness. The tartness is unexpected and makes me wonder whether it was a bad bottle or a flemish influence. Drinkable but lacks depth.
