330ml bottle. Pours a rich Burgundy-brown color. Huge lacy head. Amber caramel taste, with some fruity pungent qualities as well. Relatively easy finish for a beer with such yeast and malt characteristics. I think my bottle is suffering an Orval Classic effect, and I would like to sample this one fresh. Very nice Dubbel, with a lot of Amber qualities.

Aug 14, 2008 Bottle in Bruges. Dark amber brown colour, beige fluffy head. Aroma of caramel and forest fruits, yeast. Flavour is dry, roasted malts, spices and yeast, forest fruits. OK

Jul 2, 2008 Pours a murky brown-maroon color with thin tan frothy head. It has a light sweet chocolate and phenol aroma. Smooth body with a slight stickiness. Caramel and chocolate flavor with some tart cherries and a light spiciness. The tartness is unexpected and makes me wonder whether it was a bad bottle or a flemish influence. Drinkable but lacks depth.
