1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 DiarmaidBHK (1392) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 30, 2011
ArOma has the whiff of skunked Heineken and is the color of straw and leaves no lacing. Tastes like skunked Heineken as well. I can’t possibly fathom why anyone would want to import this shit into America.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 wlajwl (1481) - Iowa, USA - MAR 18, 2011
Very middle of the road, has some pilsner flavors mixed with more generic pale lager characteristics, not bad, not exceptional.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 arminjewell (2445) - Parker, Colorado, USA - MAR 10, 2011
Pours clear yellow with white head. Aroma has notes of pils malt, some grass, floral and lemon notes, a bready note as well. Taste is bready, some lemon, and a slightly bitter floral finish. Overall not bad, but the tastes are a bit weak and one dimensional.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 rings (54) - Michigan, USA - FEB 17, 2011
This pilsner pours pale straw in color, with a floral herbal nose. Unfortunately, the thin, white head falls quickly even though it retains a bit of lacing. (A good pils, as a German brewmaster friend of mine once told me, should take seven minutes to pour—allowing the head to dissipate. “Any less than that, send it back,” he claimed.) Regardless, Bavik has a balanced mouthfeel, with plenty of sweetness to compliment the crisp, herbal finish.
While I have to consider that this style—or any lighter lager—will take a beating as an import, this is a good effort … albeit nothing more than what was to be expected.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 crossovert (2547) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 9, 2011
A decent Belgian pilsener. It is obviously better than Stella Artois, but it isn’t anything particularly worthwhile.

light body, thin feel, fizzy, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium sourness, pale, hazy, minimal head,
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 brenn79 (859) - Idaho, USA - DEC 11, 2010
11.2 oz. bottle- Pours pale pale golden with a thin soapy white head and little lacing, aroma is very similar to a pale lager, just kind of general beer smell. The flavor tastes like a European lager, like St. pauli Girl or Heineken, very unimpressed with this one, possibly the most boring and probably the worst Belgium beer I’ve ever had.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 unclemike (1365) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - NOV 19, 2010
The aroma has malt, yeast, and herbal hops. The appearance is pale gold with a fairly large sudsy head. The flavor is like corn and paper with light astringent hops. The palate is thin and typical for the style with a light soapy aftertaste. This beer is beyond it’s best before date by several months so maybe thats why it’s so boring and blah
