2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 weihenweizen (634) - West Virginia, USA - NOV 14, 2010
Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a pale yellow with small white head that dissapates down to almost nothing. Light lacing, light aroma, and medium carbonation. Taste is crisp grainy malt and finishes light grassy hops.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JCB (2921) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 10, 2010
On tap at the Raleigh Times, Raleigh. Decent pour, a straw gold with a lively body, moderate head. Faint malts and fruits in the nose, dry hops for sure. The body was a bit underwhelming, a tad watery and fading fast. The crisp dry taste that leads things off fades just as quickly, leading to a disappointing pils.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 24, 2010
Experienced from a 11.5oz bottle in a pub glass. The beer pours a straw-colored gold with a mild white head. The nose carries adjuncty notes similar to American macro-brewed light lagers. Disappointing, to say the least. The palate is an improvement, showing clean pilsner malt notes that give an otherwise painfully boring and lifeless beer some character, however restrained. Carbonation is assertive, but not out-of-style. The finish is clean and crisp, but not as insipid as the aforesaid American lager offerings. Overall, disappointing, but not utter garbage.

Location: Sampled at the NY Brewfest on Governor’s Island, 6/19/10
Aroma: The nose is with a some spice, yeast, and light hops
Appearance: It pours a pale yellow color with a white head
Flavor: Taste is much like the nose, spice and some yeasty malts
Palate: This one is light, somewhat crisp, and a little bit metallic
Overall Impression:
This is a mediocre Belgian style Ale. I don’t have too much more to say on this one. Overall, I wasn’t too impressed.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 tderoeck (1179) - BELGIUM - SEP 25, 2010
24/09/2010 - 25cl @ Opening night Karakterbierfestival Bissegem
Clear straw yellow beer with fine white head, disappears quick. Aroma is sweet, some hops. MF is a little sparkling, watery texture, thin body. Taste is a little hoppy, some malts. Aftertaste is pretty dry, a little sour. Oh well, Belgium is not a lager country, never will be. I didn’t really choose to taste this, was just included in the entry fee.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 puboflyons (1111) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 3, 2010
From the 11.2 fl. oz. bottle no. 39912. The pour is pale yellow and slightly hazy with about two inches of quick fizzy head that diminishes almost to a ring. The aroma bursts with grains, thin hops, and a bit of a skunky quality. The taste is about the same with a creamy texture and a slight hoppy finish. Nothing special here. This shows that not every Belgian beer is a good one.
