A clear amber ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light butterscotch, quite smooth. In mouth, a nice oily butterscotch caramel with light lingering British hops, smooth and grassy. On tap at Sunset Grill, July 15, 2012.

Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sour malt aromas. Sweet butterscotch front to back...not much else going on...looks are deceiving...

12oz can. Pours a crystal clear amber with a big creamy beige head that leaves some sticky lacing along the sides. Aroma is very malty, to be expected, with the caramel very evident but there is also a nice crisp biscuity note. Also getting some toasted nuts and some earthy hops. Taste is very crisp with toasted bread, caramel and faint grassy hops. Some fruitiness thrown in as well. The mouthfeel is light, crisp and leads to an exceptionally drinkable brew. Not the hoppiest or most complex amber but really solid.

Draft Portland Brewfest. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit hop undertone. Malt sweetness mellows to an Earthy hop with a crisp bitterness. Lots of bready malts as well. The body is light and goes down easy. Simple and straight forward. Nothing here is going to “blow you away” but it can be a nice session brew.

(Draft @ Hadlock Field) Darkish amber. Thin, but lasting biscuit head. Aroma is fruity, lightly floral, over caramel. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth, medium-full, Flavor is fruity with caramel, lightly floral, and light-medium bitterness overlaying. A nice one from Baxter.

12 ounce bottle
Aroma: toasted malts, sweet malts, fruity
Appearance: murky amber, nice tight white bubbles
Taste: toasted/sweet malts, fruity, slightly metallic
Palate: thin to medium bodied, easy drinking
Overall: not a bad beer, one dimensional, did not hold my interest

12oz can. Pours light amber with a light tan head. Sweet malt and metallic flavors. OK and certainly drinkable but didn’t really do it for me.

12 oz can. Pours a glowing orange/red. Even a gentle pour from the can will get you a creamy 2 finger off white head that slowly settles to a 1/4" cap. A fair amount of lace is left when the head completely recedes. Bready, malty sweet aroma with some fruity hop scents in the background. Palate is smooth a full bodied with light carbonation. Flavor is to the sweet side with the some taste of ripe fruit. Mild bitterness in the finish.

A crystal-clear light amber with good frothy light tan head. Light bubbles. Very metallic aroma. Mouthfeel is smooth, but flavor is underwhelming. Light, lingering roastiness is OK, but overall this one is "middle-of-the-road" for me.

Pours a hazy amber brown color with minimal off white head... Aromas are kinda boozy malty sweet caramel aromas... on the palate it is alot of the same... sweet round malts, toasty nutty flavors with touches of earthy hops. It has a medium mouthfeel rolling into a mouth coated toasted barley flavor that kinda ruins the finish for me... not my favorite style and a bit heavy on the malts and light on the hops.
