(Rating #5255)

Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. Off-white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sour malt aromas. Sweet butterscotch front to back...not much else going on...looks are deceiving...

can. pours unclear medium dark golden-orange with a very nice creamy off-white head, good retention and lacing. toasted cereals, nice fruitiness - akin to premium lagers - peaches perhaps, grass - some nobleness, herbal tea, pinch of dirt and coffee, hint of sweetness - soft caramel and brown sugar. moderate carbonation, light body - textured, balanced dry chalky-grassy-earthy-herbal finish.

12oz can. Looks amber. Aroma of caramel and pale malts plus some floral hops. Flavor the same with a decent blend of the ingredients. Average texture. Not bad for the style.

Draft Portland Brewfest. Aroma of sweet malt and fruit hop undertone. Malt sweetness mellows to an Earthy hop with a crisp bitterness. Lots of bready malts as well. The body is light and goes down easy. Simple and straight forward. Nothing here is going to “blow you away” but it can be a nice session brew.
