COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In our hometown in 1965, Muhammad Ali won the world heavyweight title with a knockout blow some consider a "Phantom Punch". As our tribute to that fight, this big flippin’ stout packs a wallop of its own, with a ghostly hint of cocoa nib s and vanilla beans.

12oz can. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Pretty decent stout though a bit on the thin side. Roasted malt, coffee, some dark chocolate.

Can: Black, with a slightly purplish, dark tan head. Light, smoky chocolate scent. Slightly over-cooked coffee, bitter chocolate taste... Light ashy bitter. Not bad, but pretty weak and watery overall. Needs a bit more punch....and less phantom.

Can. Creamy light vanilla and chocolate malt and hay aroma. Black with moderate tan head. Lightly sweet chocolate malt, light coffee, and ash flavor. Light body. Okay but very light.

Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma is subdued but has dark chocolate and roastiness...a bit of a coca cola like scent. Flavor has significant roastiness...burnt/bitter...dark bakers chocolate...just a bit of vanilla...fairly bitter but a bit cardboardy. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a dry and burnt/bitter finish.

Dark golden brown with dark brown head. Medium roasty aroma. Velvet roast malt, milk chocolate and dark chocolate bitter balance. Dry roast finish. Very very nice. Thanks dlovell2 for bringing this back from Maine for me.

Can. Oily black pour with a medium fizzy brown head. Aromas of chocolate, oatmeal, faint vanilla. Velvety mouthfeel, medium bodied. Fantastic and the price is right.

From sampler pack: pours black with a nice creamy head. Aroma is vanilla and cocoa. Taste is a little sweet but not too muchly. There be some tasty roast but again nothing that is too overwhelming. Basically this is a nicely balanced stout that hides it true size a little.

Coffee and bark aroma. Dark brown color. Sweet chocolate and coffee notes. Slight bitterness, but not as bitter as some stouts. Smooth mouth feel and clean finish.

Can shared with Paul. Pours a deep brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is cocoa, light milk chocolate and wet dog. Mouthfeel is medium to soft with gentle notes of chocolate, milk, light earthy character and that wet dog.

Cool beer from a mixed 12 pack. Cocoa vanilla sweetish stout that is just nice. Baxter actually impresses me the more chances I give them. Finish is lightly sweet and creamy.

Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and chocolate aroma. Dark roasted black coffee start with vanilla and cocoa notes. Finish is dark roasted bitterness. Really cool can and story behind the name of this beer.
