In our hometown in 1965, Muhammad Ali won the world heavyweight title with a knockout blow some consider a "Phantom Punch". As our tribute to that fight, this big flippin’ stout packs a wallop of its own, with a ghostly hint of cocoa nib s and vanilla beans.

Coffee and bark aroma. Dark brown color. Sweet chocolate and coffee notes. Slight bitterness, but not as bitter as some stouts. Smooth mouth feel and clean finish.

Can shared with Paul. Pours a deep brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is cocoa, light milk chocolate and wet dog. Mouthfeel is medium to soft with gentle notes of chocolate, milk, light earthy character and that wet dog.

Cool beer from a mixed 12 pack. Cocoa vanilla sweetish stout that is just nice. Baxter actually impresses me the more chances I give them. Finish is lightly sweet and creamy.

Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and chocolate aroma. Dark roasted black coffee start with vanilla and cocoa notes. Finish is dark roasted bitterness. Really cool can and story behind the name of this beer.

From the 12 fl. oz. can marked 10-28-14 on the bottom of the can. I love the deep dark brown to nearly black pour and abundant frothy tan head. The aroma has a a lovely dose of vanilla bean and cocoa as promised. Definitely malt forward. The body is rather thin to medium. The taste is also vanilla based and malt forward with a slight bitterness to follow. This is all over the map but all in all I enjoyed it.

Really nice. Pours black with an initial frothy tan head and lots of clumpy lacing. Nose is huge vanilla. Flavours are vanilla, some plum, some coffee. Taste is medium/heavy sweet medium bitter. Kinda light body for the size of the beer, somewhat creamy with medium carbonation.

can. pours very dark brown with a nice light beige head offering some retention and lacing. burnt roastiness and chocolate, fresh roasted oats, woodsy vanilla, bitter coffee, very ashy, boozy, piney, peppery, some bitter cocoa beans, slightly perfumey, metal traces. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily, relatively dry bitter coffee-peppery-ashy finish. o-k.

Can shared by Keith. Pours pitch black with brown head. Not much on the nose. Muted cocoa in the nose. Not much going on here with the cocoa it vanilla.

Pretty awesome stout-in-a-can (cans R sexy = bonus points), can taste the cocoa & vanilla, which combine well together here. Seems like this beer is kind of hard to find @ the moment, at least here in northwestern VT... hopefully not for long.
