COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A heavily-hopped, West Coast-style IPA. Bold, complex flavors with a solid malt backbone and assertive hop profile, along with cold conditioning give this beer its crisp, clean finish.

Brew pours orange and hazy into a tulip, the scent sharp in my nostrils without being aromatic. The head is off-white, soft, and dense; thick, but releases quickly. I tip the glass and find a bitter, mostly flavorless liquid, the taste standing up strong, but the aroma backing the flavor. Not much there but bitter, malts not strong enough to stand up to the bite. Some citrus coming through as it warms, but again, not much there. The texture of the brew is sticky, the buzz is just right for the style, but with nothing to carry, the carbonation and other aspects of the palate just seem pointless. I’d like to blame all this on freshness, but this is only a couple of months off the date. On the other hand, that head is still going strong, thick and white, lacing up the glass like it’s nobody’s business. If only I was in it for the head.

Variety pack: pours orange with a white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, and resin. Taste is sweet, then bitter and citrusy. Finish is bitter too and goes into a hoppy aftertaste. Not extreme, but packs some punch. Good.

Cloudy, medium amber, little lace. Full body, intense flavor, rich, spritzy mouthfeel, well balanced, long palate, tasty finish. Very bitter but well balanced by the malt. Very hoppy, herby, floral, resiny. Big, intense and delicious beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a totally opaque pukey orange brown, lots of floating sediment, bug bubbly white head. Aroma is earth, must, floral hop, moldy citrus. Flavor is light sweet, moldy orange, earthy mineral hop finish.

16 Oz tap. Pours orange with a white head. Aromas of floral and citrusy hops. Flavor is hop dominant, with resiny and herby hops. Make character is muted, and long, bitter linger, leaving the beer a bit unbalanced. Medium body with a oily mouthfeel and sharp carbonation. Overall, kind of standard ipa. Hop aroma and flavor ok, but not so noteworthy, and not balanced enough with malt.

[6627-20140815] Can. Orange hops aroma. Clear, orange body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter orange peel flavour. Medium-full body is quite bitter. Good, nice bitter balance. (7/3/8/4/15) 3.7

12 oz can. Pours a dark rusty orange with a medium sized cream colored head. Aroma of floral notes, tangy malts, hops and orange citrus. Taste of tangy sweet orange, bread malts, hops and hints of pine in the aftertaste.

Pours a medium golden orange color with a finger of eggshell foam. nose is citrus, stale grain, some sweet caramel malt and wet grass. Palate follows with less focused citrus flavor than the nose offered. A bit murky, nice clean bitterness just not as focused or delicate as I prefer in my IPA’s/

Meduim bodied with moderate bitterness. Citrus flavor and aroma. Never heard of this beer until I stepped into a Pizzeria Uno in Springfield, MA and Stowaway IPA was a featured draft. .
