   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 9/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 16/20
Erzengel (3554) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 2, 2013
Einfach wunderbar!

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2011
2011-11-05, bottle from Bier-Hannes Getränkeabholmarkt, 7.2% ABV, 5-4-6-3-11=29
Nice amber color; small head. Boring aroma, caramel and vegetables. Also the flavor is quite boring, caramel, without any richness; moderate bitterness. Below average.

2011-02-10, draught at Papperla Pub, Haus der 150 Biere, Würzburg, 8.5% ABV, 5-3-6-3-11=28
Dark amber - chestnut color; creamy head. The aroma shows some apple smell; it has a sweetish caramel flavor supported by a decent body; but the flavor as well shows some apples. Low bitterness, light alcohol feeling. Very average.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, dried fruits. Flavour is sweet, hop, berries, caramel, roasted malt, dried fruits. Nice bock.

yngwie (14161) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 20, 2010
Bottle. A dark amber beer, clear, and topped by a small, off-white head. Some dried fruits and cellar on the nose, with roasted malts doing most of the job. A hint of oxidation and something berry-like too. Sweet flavor with roasted malts and dried fruits, some cellar and oxidation as well. Low on bitterness. Bready finish with prunes. Medium body. A decent doppelbock, but nothing special about it. 091120

Rastacouere (6137) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 3, 2007
Clear chestnut coloured, small white head that quickly departs. Toasty and lightly fruity bock with fun cherry notes. Dominatingly bready, it even has a soft rye-like spiciness. Clean, and light-bodied for what it aims at being, but its crispiness compensates and makes it a drinkable and tasty lager. Delicate, but not very complex.

Ungstrup (29851) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 27, 2007
Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and pumpernickle bread, and so is the flavor.

Christian (11282) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 23, 2007
Dark copper with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma, bready, even reminding me of fresh un-fermented wort. Malty sweet with some caramel and molasses flavour.

Bottle @ Chris_o shindig 2007. Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet (malt sweet) with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft.

Bottled. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol and bigitme malts. Flavour is bigtime malts. Some hops and alcohol also notes. Quite wellbalanced doppelbock. Aftertaste also has some slight notes of grass, along with the malts and alcohol.
