Draught - Bruxellensis Festival. Gold colour with thin white head. Some decent malt, crisp hop/grassy finish. Staleish malt makes it slightly unattractive

Clear, yellow body. Sourish aroma of wood hops. Ok flavour. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught - Bruxellensis - A dark gold coloured beer. The aroma is grassy with some sweet malts and a touch of creaminess. The taste is quite clean, but again there’s a buttery note. Some lemony hops too but quite average.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught Good, but disappearing off-white head, over hazy dark straw-yellow beer. Very malty, bit grassy nose, near to milk-ripe grain. Quite dry-bitterish initially, immediately followed by a sweet, malty & grassy taste, like baking powder. But the hoppy (German) bitterness holding up, refute more and more the restsweetness. Grist slickness, light to medium bodied, quite fizzy. Discreet, but actually very nice Ungespundetes.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2004 Only beer from this tiny brewery. The brewer collected all the courage he had, drank out half a litre of his own brew (at 10 AM), took a sigh and filled up my pot stopper bottle with his beer. Malty barnyard aroma. Malty flavor with boiled milk and some late hoppiness. Dirty palate. Still this pub brewery is a great place to visit. Even cuban cigars are sold!
