COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Das Bayer Weißbier aus der Deggendorfer Traditionsbrauerei Bayer. Wenn auch das Bayer Weizen seit 1996 nicht mehr in Deggendorf gebraut wird, sondern im Lohnbrauverfahren in Hutthurm, so wird es dennoch weiterhin nach der traditionellen Rezeptur gebraut, der es den unverwechselbaren Geschmack verdankt. Mit 5,2 % Alkohol ist das Bayer Weizen ein Bier für jeden Anlaß!

Bottle: Hazy, deep golden, mid-sized fluffy off-white head; moderate to robust grainy-wheaty nose, bananas, cloves plus some yeast inclided; light to moderate sweetish-tart flavour, light bodied, a bit fizzy; slightly lingering sweetish-sourish finish with some tartness around. Resonable Weizen.....

(bottle) Cloudy, amber colour with a big and dense tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet malty and wheaty aroma with obvious notes of banana, cara-malt and lighter clovy accents. Mildly sweet and slightly sour flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pretty slim wheaty body with notes of cara-malt and a shy touch of banana and a whiff of cloves; dry and slightly fruity wheaty finish with cloves and tart notes in the aftertaste. The aroma of this Altbayrisch Weizen/Ur-Weisse was promising while the rest was rather mediocre. 10.VIII.10
