3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted from 11.3oz longneck into a tulip. It poured a predictable cloudy golden amber color with spritzy white head which subsided fairly quickly. True-to-style Berliner Weisse aromas and flavors, which is to say, delicious. Tart, citric acid, lactic bacterial sourness (like yogurt or sourkraut), Champagne-like, grainy, slightly mettalic, profoundly strong lemony zing. A beer version of lemon drop hard candies. Light body, low alcohol, intense carbonation. I didn’t love it as much as 1809, but close.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to kappldav123 for this hard-to-get-in-germany bottle. Pale yellow and unclear in the glass, small fine white head. Sour citrus fruity on the nose. Starts sweetsour and fresh, low flat bitterness. Thinner ending. Not bad for that kind of beer.

An average Berliner. Nothing too special. Wouldn’t mind having again. The style is always a nice drink.

Great german weisse bier. No brady or bannany tones just a pure good wheat taste that was satisfying.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
11.2 oz bottle that cost $4.69, yowza! Very light yellow color, ok head. Aroma is tart, peach almost, nice. Flavor is tart, peaches, honey, malt, quite good. Way, way too easy to drink, I killed my glass in under ten minutes. Its really too bad the style is hard to find and expensive, this would get swilled during the summertimes.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Had on tap at big dogs. This was pretty good. Certainly light and effervescent with a decent sourness to it. I liked it quite a bit.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Yellow fizzy body, hazy. Light sour, salty. Never harsh, which is good, but also a bit light. Disappoints a bit to be honest. (33cl bottle shared at the Borefts 2013 afterparty courtesy of Titus)

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2 ounce bottle. Served in a Sam Adams Boston Lager glass, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with about an inch white head that didn’t stay around for too long. Not much lacing. The brew smells like wheat/bready malt and lemons/lemon peel. The taste is mostly like the aroma, it’s nice and tart, with some green grape flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s smooth and has moderate carbonation. I think this is a nice, enjoyable brew. It’s refreshing and easy enough to drink, definitely worth trying. $3.59 a bottle.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: very light straw, slightly cloudy, with a bright white head. Aroma: prominent aromas of green apples, some lemon, a little custard. Taste: sour and tart, with apple cider vinegar, lemon zest, a little grass, a hint of coriander. Finish: as the sour tartness fades, you finally get a hint of wheaty crackers that rounds out the finish nicely. Notes: Pretty darn tart, but extremely refreshing.
