Aroma has sour apples and some sour cream. Flavour has some rather tart apples, some sour cream. Rather sour and good, this stuff really dries my mouth.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A - Pours a very hazy golden-yellow color with a finger of frothy white head. The head fades down fairly slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of lemon zest, grass, funky, wheat, with some good Brett and farmhouse smells.
T - Starts off with some strong tart and sour lemon and Brett with some wheat. Through the middle, more tart and acidic lemon comes through with some stronger funk and Brett flavor. The finish is a mix of strong acidic and tart lemon alongside Brett, farmhouse flavors, and grains.
M - Light bodied with moderate-plus carbonation. Feels smooth with a very tart, funky, and acidic finish.
D - Very drinkable. Powerfully funky and tart, but extremely tasty. Really nice complexity.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle... Poured hazy, pale, straw/yellow with a white. Quite acidic and sour. Yet clean and not a whole lot of funk. Wheat and earthy tones, with some sweetness too. Citrus to top it all off and a souring finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ahhhhh yes, been absolutely loving the Berliner Weisse style lately...add Bretts?! PLEASE! This poured fizzy, little foamy white head, with a nice little golden cloud of liquid underneath. Mainly citrus aroma that isnít too strong, with hints of brett in there. Flavor ends up packing a lovely sour punch, but itís balanced enough to where you could sip this all afternoon (I mean, I could with sours anyways, but, yah...). Lemon and citrus zest running all over your palate, smothered in polite puckering funky brett flavors, which transcend into the finish, and hold for a good while after each sip. At 3% this "feels" much heavier, but itís due to all the amazing flavors. Could and would drink this everyday! Maybe I need to move to Germany...

On tap at Blue Monk. A good tartness, akin to an unsweetened lemonade. Very good drinkability, suitable carbonation. Yellow body with a small white head.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours cloudy yellow with thick white head that dissipates quickly. Almost no smell, a bit of citrus. Very sour and astringent, with song vinegar and citrus flavors, a good amount of floral notes, and a hint of spiciness. Very clean finish. This beer is very easy to drink.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Taster at Bavarian Lodge, May 24. Very pale. Big Flats pale. Nose is more zesty than sour, kind of a raspberry note. A first tiny sip is indeed pretty sour, but with a fruity note surrounding it, like there was lipstick on the glass. I donít claim to be a sour beer expert, but Iíve drunk enough infected homebrews to appreciate a good example, and this is eminently refreshing. Not slammable for sure, but its sourness does make it sessionable in its way. You canít help but pucker up at some point in the proceedings.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, abgefŁllt august 2011. Pours extremely light yellow, with an enormous head quickly dissolving. Aroma does not stand out in any particular way, itís sharp and crispy of citrus and brett. It has a light thin body, with a lively carbonation. Flavour is really refreshing, with brett, lots of lemon and yeast. It is really sour, yet not bitter, and the sourness last through the finish with a good fruity yeast in the after taste. A nice acquaintance.
