Pour out of bottle at home, nice pop and very nicely carbonated, took several pours to get all of it out of the bottle but well worth it. A nice lively white head whittled away to a very thin to eventually no head, with very effervescent carbonation in the glass. Aroma brought notes of dusty and moldy basement, sweet cracker/biscuit, hints of lemon and lactic acid, touch of funky cheesy mold, a ever so slight hint of grass and earth as well. Taste is spot on for me just lacking a bit of depth, nice big lemony lactic acid notes go with a nice funky and dirty basement funk, hints of sweet biscuit fade to a nice refreshing acidic finish. I need more of this...

11.2 oz bottle. It pours out as foam, expect it to take a looong time to pour this one The foam is bright white and firm. The color of the beer is marvelous, almost like a sparkling white wine. The smell is phenomenal. It is aidic and citrusy, but lightly so. There is a hint of metallic smell but it works. It has a bit of standard yeast and wheat smells. It smells refreshing. And that is good because I went from 30 degree Wisconsin yesterday to 70 degree sunny Atlanta today. The taste is also refreshing. It has a slight citrus acid bite and a small hinting of funk but nothing overpowering. The weissbier part of this is delectable. It is light, airy, smooth, and easy drinking. If only this stuff was mass bottled and sold for a cheap price, it would utterly destroy bud light. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-03-2011 22:52:50

bottle. pours a white wine yellow with a frothy white head that starts big but fades fast. initial aroma is bright lemon zest, creamed wheat, crisp herbs, and dry cracker malts. pleasant bretty sweat and dust cobweb basement funk. awesome. taste has a moderate-heavy lemony acidic bite, with a soft, delicate creamed wheat backing for balance. bone dry. super drinkable, complex, interesting tasty beer. more acidic than most all berliners i’ve had, and wouldn’t mind if the lemon acidity was toned down slightly. really nice clean wet grass funk. super good. at $7 a bottle i’m still eager to buy a couple more, as this is right up my alley. if this were like $2 a bottle, i’d buy a truck load. amazing beer- surprised scores aren’t higher.

Bottle. Clear, straw yellow color with a fluffy, and large, white head. Head quickly fades as you can hear the bubbles popping rather loudly. Pretty as a Berliner Weisse is going to get. Just seeing this makes me excited to drink it again. Funk, lemon, large amounts of acidity, and some grainy wheat are present in the aroma. If it was the summer I’d likely rate the aroma even higher, but as it is winter in Minnesota this doesn’t have quite the same refreshing quality. Still, it’s fucking great smelling. God this tastes good. Lemon, grains, wheat, lime, and a good dose of lactic acidity are all present here. Fucking incredible for a beer that is only 3% alcohol. Refreshing, crisp and bubbly carbonation, easy to drink, and overall very enjoyable. This would be a perfect summer beer for me.

Pours pale and hazy straw color with strong head that dissapates entirely after a few minutes. Aroma is bright lactic tartness, some basement funk, banana/clove, pear, cheese, straw. Taste is intense, warhead-candy like sourness, green apple, the nose does not betray the intensely bright sourness on the palate. Body is light and effervescent, frothy, intensely acidic dry finish. Overall, this is an incredible beer for only 3% abv. Give me this by the gallon on a hot day and it will not go to waste!

Bottle. Sour lactic and light barnyard aroma - nice mixture. Cloudy brownish yellow color with large head initially. Light sweet-tart flavor - very nicely blended. Great.

Champagne colored crystal clear body with a light flow of bubbles that continue to keep some life on the top despite a complete lack of head. Smells of hay, wet grass and gouda(?) are very subdued. Flavors of unripe apricots, sourdough bread, and some sort of grain. I want to say grains of paradise but I think it’s more on the tart spectrum. Very lively bodily, with the carbonation playing off the sourness well. I was a big big fan.

Pale lemonad color with a bubbly white head. Aroma is funky, cheese, lemons, lots of lemons and tartness in the nose. Flavor is sour and juicy. Lots of lemon juice, yeasty funk,, finishes very sour and leaves my mouth watering for more. Man this is really good and cool as hell.

Wow, this stuff was a surprise, really good offering, lots of funk. its got the sour kraut aroma and the flavour is a surprise, it tastes like a lambic blended with a berliner weisse just like it says, its amazing, the front is very sour like a lambic and it finishes with a berliner weisse style finish. really good offering

Draft at the Birch. Clear and golden. Pow! Super sweet tart, snapping the taste buds with a zowie. Really nice, interesting interpretation of the style. (#4457, 1/28/2012)
