Sample at the sour event at World of Beer Brewery District on 5/25/14. Clear gold in color with a thick white head. Aroma of spice, coriander, lemon and light tartness. Malty and lemony flavor with some coriander herbal character before a salty and semi tart finish.

Tap at taproom 307. interesting nose of salty wheat like most gose but then with Christmas spice? tastes of nutmeg, cloves, salt, wheat, lemon, peppercorns, maybe some tangerine. great palate of zingy tart gose. pretty neat indeed

2014-04-19. Hazy orangey body modest white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasantly fruity and lightly tangy. Flavour is pleasantly fruity, lightly tangy and sour, very lightly salty. Mild undertones of cereal grains, but pleasantly so. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Relatively simple but delightfully refreshing. On tap at Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn

Enjoyed this one tonight at Bittercreek.... Pours the standard pale golden... slightly hazed... a bit more head retention than the Pineus. Nose has all the standard Leipziger qualities, but is punctuated by something that makes me thin Xmas spices.... Clove oil. Flavor mirrors the aroma with a more pronounced clove, but also with some orange zest and hints of dusty nutmeg. Okay.... I am glad I got a chance to try this one, but I like the Pineus and the standard gose much better.

Bottle. Poured a cloudy yellow color with an average to large white head that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Good aroma of citrus and herbal spice. Medium to abundant body with tingly smooth texture and soft carbonation. Good sour & sweet citrus flavor with a complex sweet & sour finish of medium to long duration. Interesting complex brew.

A four ounce pour at Lizardville was an interesting gose. It lacked the saltiness that I was expecting based on a few other data points. I would love to make a trip to try some at the source to really get a handle on a fine sessionable style.

Aroma / Appearance - Bronze semitransparent fluid fills the glass with a coppery glow. Creamy vanilla head adds some complexity. Salted peaches, lemons, and two day old oranges on the cusp of beginning to go stale provide a lift of citrusy saltines.

Flavor / Palate - Almonds, peaches, and saltines refresh the palate after just two sips. The light sweet mouthfeel is easy going with no intent to force itself where it is not welcome. Pleasing and sessionable this is a style that I hope some American brewers attempt. I would support the efforts.

750 ml bottle to snifter. Looks good; a cloudy golden orange with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells solid; tart and wheaty with notes of citrus and spices. Tastes like it smells with a bit of salt. Solid on the palate. A bit busy for the style, but enjoyable nonetheless.

750ml bottle, shared with friends for my 5000th. Half-hazy golden orange color. Little white head. Decent bits of lace and ropes of lace... Wow. The flavor profile on this... Good coriander, vanilla, nutmeg in the nose... Moderate spicy taste, light bitter, moderate sweet, kind of tangy, lightly zesty. Light to medium body, but a good smooth creamy thicker mouthfeel to it, excellent mouthfeel. Much better texture than your average gose. Smooth, lighter carbonation, nice clean lightly dry finish, and an awesome long vanilla, nutmeg aftertaste. Light clove and orange peel in the finish, too.
