3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, stable off-white head, vinous-woody nose with a sweet fruity background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, supported by a decent acidity, medium bodied; lingering sweet-sourish finish including vanilla, wine and a subtle alcohol-burn. Pretty good…

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
An unfortunate/expensive choice from Bittercreek (Draft from the ’15 FunkFest)... I knew better.. Why did I bite? Tickers gone tick. :-)
Fairly clear amber brew... Nose is agave and perfumy oak... Stewed fruit... Terrible. Flavor is the same but with an unexpected hot garbage wretch in the middle.. thick apricot and caramel malt with agave and bad tequila.. Thick with little carbonation triggers my gag reflex just thinking about it..
No redeeming qualities.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
4 or 6 oz pour at B Side. Poured a very cloudy yellow color with a thick, creamy white head. Aroma was lots of tequila, light lime. Not a lot of salt here. Booze. I had a refreshing tequila barrel gose a week ago that was pretty amazing and this one wasn’t that. Whoever thought a 10.5% gose was a good idea is totally crazy.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
2 year old bottle. Quickly fading head atop the murky dirty river amber pour. The aroma is without comparables in the world of beer. It is for one very complex and amazingly provides a handful of words which, after 10k beers tasted or so, I do not remember using before. Highly vegetal and spicy nature which brings about notes such as jalapenos, green peppers, celery, sage, oregano, green tea, white Pepper, banana, salt, earth... Phew and the mouth provides more of the same weirdness. The beginnings of oxidation are no hindrance at all in this green and gently liquorous flavor profile punctuated with soft wooden tannins. Fascinating and possibly an incredible partner for the likes of Cuban or Mexican food. But it’s made out of Germany of all culinary places.. what a world we live in. The 10.5% ABV is nowhere to be found, the slight heat which caresses the throat at the end of every sip is the only hint and does not suggest double digits. Moderate acidity, sweetness mostly limited to alcohol level in spite of a medium body. Not something I would want to drink anywhere close to regularly, but horizon expanding and therefore an absolute must try for anyone who reads RateBeer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nicely done gose with a well-integrated barrel aging. Takes away some of the edge that goses usually have in the way of saltiness and tang but makes for a interesting and well-rounded beer. Pours hazy golden with decent head and lacing. Tangy finish. Tap at Churchkey.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Refrigerated 12.7 oz. green bottle poured into a glass. Translucent orange with small off-white head which dissipated fairly quickly. Aroma is tequila, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tequilla, wood, tart, and salty pickles. Alcohol is pretty well covered, flavorful, but is still a pretty heavy beer. Overall not worth he price.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from SL. Labelled "ale brewed with spice and matured in tequila oak barrels." I’m not a tequila fan but this was awesome. Poured into the tulip with a decent and lace-sustaining head, hazy orange color. Aroma of sour and vegetables and oak and alcohol. Drank smoothly, tequila mixed in with all the aroma elements, sawdusty oaky. Mouthfeel was acidic and velvety at the same time, nicely carbonated, salty in the finish. Very nice experience.

My Goseator was matured in Aquavit-casks, at FdB 2014. Smooth, slightly sweet. Hints of wood, not much sourness. The mainpart is fruity, intense, fresh, woody, dark-fruit-sour.
Very nice brew! 13/12/13/12

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2014 This is what an imperial Gose tastes like, its not meant to be good. It’s an experiment. Its full of salt and tartness to the max compared to the regular. Its very tart and crazy but not good. Its flatish its thicky-light. Its a mess but an original mess. I think I get a little tequila, adds a refreshing yet alcoholic aspect. Its a cool but I would never drink it again.

Thanks to Eugene for sharing - well, this is a strange beast - smells and tastes very strongly of vegetables (celery, root plants, cucumber, peppers) - surprisingly tart and only mildly sweet for the strength - some oak - the tequila is fairly evident - fairly soft and surprisingly frothy in the mouth for something so strong - fairly strong alcohol burn in the finish - moderately acidic, mildly doughy - strange.

Classy.
