This original Leipzig beer specialty lends us the name for our brewery. Gose is a regional beer specialty that was brought to Saxony-Anhalt in the year 1738. Originally Gose comes from Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony, and the river “Gose” in this town. This beer specialty has a refreshing, slightly sour taste and is ideal for quenching your thirst. Gose is brewed with the additional ingredients lactic acid, cilantro, and salt. Gose is a top-fermented beer with 4,5 Vol. % alcohol and 10,8 % wort. You can enjoy it in different variations.

Bottle in the marketplace ale house in Doncaster. Pours golden with a tiny off white head. Smells a little toffee quite a thick smell! A little sour on the nose. Great woody wheaty aftertaste. Really really good.

Bottle from Gulating Strømmen enjoyed at home
Golden hazy, white head. Smell of light malts, hints of lemon and yoghurt, some coriander as well, quite refreshing. Light sweet, some tart yoghurt, coriander, light salty, very refreshing, moderate sour acids. Well balanced off, quite enjoyable and a superb thirstquencer.

33cl bottle from Ales of Europe: BBD 1st July 15. Poured into vase shaped Coors Banquet glass at home on 19th June 15. Misty golden body, carbonation bubbles rising up to a thin but full white sheet of foam as a head. Not a lot going on in the nose: even as the beer warmed, but the sourness certainly comes through in the mouth, with a cutting bite. Spiced feel to the flavour, might even pick up the salt content too. Different and most likely the best ’Gose’ I have had so far: which is not a large number.

Smelling Malt, lemon, color in pale yellow, very bland, not so much taste, bit sour, very light. Expect more from German beer

A mid amber gold coloured beer beer with a weak white head. A light malty aroma, with a hint of coriander spice. Dry and thin mouthfeel. A dry malty taste, some coriander spice with a salt water undertone, with a hint of lime in the background. The finish continues with the malty flavour and the underlying salt water taste. Bottle from Beers of Europe.

Cracker like aroma with notes of coriander. Appearance is a hazy pale yellow with a large white head. Flavor has medium tartness with light salty character and hints of coriander. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, I'd prefer it to have a little less sourness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from cotteridge wines. Slightly hazy golden beer with small head. Aroma of lemon, musty and salty. Taste is citrus, quite salty and a touch of sourness. Decent.
