This original Leipzig beer specialty lends us the name for our brewery. Gose is a regional beer specialty that was brought to Saxony-Anhalt in the year 1738. Originally Gose comes from Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony, and the river “Gose” in this town. This beer specialty has a refreshing, slightly sour taste and is ideal for quenching your thirst. Gose is brewed with the additional ingredients lactic acid, cilantro, and salt. Gose is a top-fermented beer with 4,5 Vol. % alcohol and 10,8 % wort. You can enjoy it in different variations.

Odd gose to me, not as tart as I expect, has a fruity aroma and the taste has some of the banana nutty flavors you get in a Belgian double. Slight salty, slight tart, yeast fruity esters with a barnyard finish. Good gose and maybe more true to the style, but I prefer the more tartness in my gose. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smooth beginning, hints of coriander. Fresh, smooth, easy to drink. No salt! (where is it???). Not too sour, nice and smooth.
A bit too smooth and a bit too "mainstream"... 10/12/12/11

Clear yellow color with a huge white, fluffy head. Soft wheaty-sour milk nose. Tart lactic flavor fills the palate, while a mild herbal flavor follows on the end. Slightly salty and sweet mixed in for good measure.

10oz on tap at Neons. Almost entirely hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Medium body. Smooth, lightly soft, light carbonation. Lightly slick finish. More of a full feel than the ABV would suggest. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate satisfying bit of sour taste. Good bit of coriander, noticeable but not too spicy. Some zesty citrus peel hint of lime. Don’t really notice the salt much, it’s very well-ntegrated and in-check. Great, satisfying, refreshing gose. Tasty, interesting yeast note.

330 ml bottle from Les Vignerons, served in a goblet glass. Pale sunrise orange, slightly hazy, with a nice, creamy, moderately persistent white head. Wit-like nose, bready malts, light spices, coriander, unripe bananas, some light grapes in the background and light yeast influence. I was expecting a solid salty component and I wasn’t disappointed. Watery, crisp, very refreshing with a nice salty, citric and slightly tart taste. Perfectly balanced malt presence, just a hint of herbal hops and wet hay, slightly spicy and almost peppery aftertaste. Average carbonation, light body, creamy texture. Extremely pleasent.
