COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This original Leipzig beer specialty lends us the name for our brewery. Gose is a regional beer specialty that was brought to Saxony-Anhalt in the year 1738. Originally Gose comes from Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony, and the river “Gose” in this town. This beer specialty has a refreshing, slightly sour taste and is ideal for quenching your thirst. Gose is brewed with the additional ingredients lactic acid, cilantro, and salt. Gose is a top-fermented beer with 4,5 Vol. % alcohol and 10,8 % wort. You can enjoy it in different variations.

Received in a tulip from tap. 4.0 A: Murky medium orange color. Two fingers frothy white head. Retention is decent with spotty lacing. 3.75 S: Lots of pepper with a salty tanginess. Strong neutral wheat. Touch of lemon fruitiness. 3.75 T: Salt dominates the taste, but it isn’t overpowering. It mixes well with peppery yeast. Stronger lemon than the nose. Hint of clove underneath. 4.0 M: Medium body. Pleasantly creamy with good moderate carbonation. 3.75 D: Very good for a hard to find style. ★ 513 characters DavoleBomb, May 05, 2015

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is lactic acid, with sweet wood and fruity notes of plums and musty fruit peel, as well as salty sea weed. Full body, with average carbonation. Flavour is light yoghurty lactic, with sweet, musty wood and fruit peel, as well as salty sea minerals.

33cl bottle. Pours hazy light golden with a a small white head that quickly fades away. Aroma is light, some malts, light acidic note, some spice (obvious coriander). Taste is great, not thin as the usual Gose, good malty base, perfect acidity. Light final saltiness, could have been a bit more. Light body, super refreshing, lively carbonation. Loved it, disappeared from my glass way too fast.

Pours a clear orange, with a thining head. Little in the way of salt influence in either the aroma, or flavour, tastes rather like a lager.

Tap in Leipzig - If I remember correctly, this was presented to us by the barkeeper as the "Girls-Gose". Fewer lactic and salty aromas, higher drinkability.

Tåkete brun med fingerhøyt beige skum som forsvinner helt. Lukter eple, rabarbra, melon og noe korn. Lett. Syrlig smak, noe hvete. Kort.

Wischylini (230) - Grimstad, NORWAY - NOV 3, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2015 Appearance The bottle cap claims that the beer is brewed according to the dumbest consumer law ever Reinheitsgebot; funny thing to claim for a beer brewed with wheat, spices, lactic acid and salt. The beer itself pours a hazy gold, with a miniscule white head.
Aroma Coriander and pale malts, lemon and horse blankets.
Taste Mildly sweet, no bitterness, lactic tartness
Palate Moderately thick, low carbonation
Overall A very nice and drinkable take on the gose style, but it could have taken more salt
