COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This original Leipzig beer specialty lends us the name for our brewery. Gose is a regional beer specialty that was brought to Saxony-Anhalt in the year 1738. Originally Gose comes from Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony, and the river “Gose” in this town. This beer specialty has a refreshing, slightly sour taste and is ideal for quenching your thirst. Gose is brewed with the additional ingredients lactic acid, cilantro, and salt. Gose is a top-fermented beer with 4,5 Vol. % alcohol and 10,8 % wort. You can enjoy it in different variations.

On tap at Sunset Grill in Allston MA. German unfiltered wheat with 50% malted wheat semi clear with lots of bubbles. No head. Aroma is all sea salt. Made w coriander and salt with a low hop bitterness. I can taste the salt thru to the end. Slight wheat leaves the mouth tart thirsting for more. Very different in a good way. This brew is very crisp. I would drink again. It was very memorable.

Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded fairly quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was tart, citric and salty with a lemonade presence. The flavor was very tart, citric, salty, lemon zest and lemonade. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.

Bevuta al ma che siete venuti a fa? di Roma. E’ una birra che presenta un sapore acido e salato. Niente male, non facile a bersi se si prova una gose per la prima volta, ma degna di nota.

On tap @ Patricks. Unclear golden body with a moderate sized off-white head. Nice fruity aroma with citric, hint of lemon and coriander. Flavor is nice and refreshing citric fruit, mild acidic lemon, moderate coriander and some salt in the background. Medium to thin body and quite tart and refreshing aftertaste with acidic fruit and hint of salt. Nice, straight forward Gose.

Bottle. It’s a hazy, pale golden beer with a minimal sized white head. It has a fruity aroma with coriander and a lemony touch. There’s a faint salty touch in the flavor, but it’s coriander and lemon along with a generic fruityness that dominates. It’s dry and medium to thin bodied with a light sourish touch. Long, fruity and coriander spiced finish. Not much complexity going on here, but it’s a tasteful and very easy drinkable beer that slakes the thirst. 150808

Meh. I didn’t read the label and reading from the other ratings am wondering if I got a variation of this beer. The coriander in this beer ruined it. I drove an hour to get to a beer store for my Secret Santa shopping and decided to pick out a few bottles for me. Saw this was a German made gose and snatched it up. Aroma was like a Hoeegarden. All coriander with not much else. Pour was a nice medium gold with a thin white film for a head. Taste was all coriander. Tasted like a witbier. No tartness or gose qualities. Blah

On Tap hazy golden/orange wth a thin brief head and spotty lacing Mild light plain wheaty aroma. very light on teh tartness. Was expecting more lactic character from a "authentic" import gose. Still, light and midly tart and tasty.
