COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This original Leipzig beer specialty lends us the name for our brewery. Gose is a regional beer specialty that was brought to Saxony-Anhalt in the year 1738. Originally Gose comes from Goslar, a small town in Lower Saxony, and the river ďGoseĒ in this town. This beer specialty has a refreshing, slightly sour taste and is ideal for quenching your thirst. Gose is brewed with the additional ingredients lactic acid, cilantro, and salt. Gose is a top-fermented beer with 4,5 Vol. % alcohol and 10,8 % wort. You can enjoy it in different variations.

Bottle, shared with Jeff. Hazy bright golden with a generous white head that shows excellent retention. Aroma is evocative of sweet tart berry fruit. Lovely bright palate with flavours of gooseberries and subtle spice, finishing with a delicate tartness that never quite reaches sour proportions. Nothing saline about this beer at all-- my fears were not realized! Actually an incredibly refreshing lighter beer that I wish I could have more of. An unexpected pleasure!

A very tame gose. Not much aroma, but very pretty, honey golden appearance. Slightly sour. Very easy drinking.

No date on the bottle, although Iíve had it well over a year. Iím thinking itís about two years old. The bottle I have is the "spezialitat" which has a wide base and long neck. Appearance: The beer has a thin white head that goes away fast leaving no lacing. The body is a golden orange color that is slightly hazy. Aroma: I get a sweet coriander aroma. Itís very prominent, especially for being collared so long. Taste: It has a very light wheat flavor and a hint of coriander. Itís very mellow . Mouthfeel: There is a slight tartness around the edge but not strong. The beer is light all-around. Overall: Itís a great beer. I wasnít getting a whole lot of wheat flavor our sourness from the beer, but it was very enjoyable. Itís a nice light drink that could be enjoyed with about anything. I would recommend it to anyone who hasnít tried a Gose (and those who have) who enjoy coriander spiced witbiers. I would buy it again.

Bayerischer Bahnhof is too difficult for my clumsy American tongue to pronounce but more than tasty enough for it to enjoy. Admittedly, this isnít the most full-bodied brew Iíve ever had, but thereís still quite a lot going on in here. Sweet malts, savory spices, slightly sour acidity, and citrusy fruits show up in the taste and (to a lesser extent) in the aroma. Crisp mouthfeel and smooth carbonation bring out the beerís refreshing qualities, and the yellow color is nice. While this brew is expensive, itís definitely worth a try.

Bottle. A- Wheat, lemons, coriander. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Wheat, lemon, coriander, subtle salt and spices. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Not as exciting as I hoped for. The salt was very minimal as was the cilantro. To me this tasted like a macro that was a little drier, crisper, and smoother. But nothing that impressed, thatís for sure.

Pours a hazy honey orange color with a medium white head. Aroma has notable saltiness and a hint of coriander and faint frutiness. Flavor has mild saltiness, some mineral notes, coriander, lavender, and light lemony citrus. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a dry and quenching lemony/salty/spicy finish.

"Frothy white head, orange body. Aroma is fruity, a touch musty and sour, with some coriander and spiciest. Smooth, light and refreshing. The light sweet tart aspects of the flavor blend quite well with the coriander and salt ( perceptible only in the finish ). I really dig the gose style - hope to see more"

Draught at Ma Che Siete Venuti A Faí. Lacto nose, wheat, some sulphur, salt. Flavour is malt, acidic, lemon, traces of salt. All a bit weak and unconvincing, but refreshing nevertheless.

Pours a golden dull with a fuzzy white head. S: A huge amount of sea salt, coriander, a hint of lime and a bit of banyard funk. T: Pretty damn salty with the coriander hanging in there. There is some lime, wheat with just a hint of lacto towards the end. M: Light and highly carbonated. O: Easy to drink and not short on flavor.
