Let me be the first to say THIS BEER ROCKS! The aroma is heavily malty and lightly pungent. Bursts of caramel, coffee and milk chocolate. What’s a hop, anyway? This lager screams MALT MALT MALT. All kinds of malty notes. BANG!-TOFFEE! POW!-CASHEWS! KABOOM!-BUTTERSCOTCH! This sparkling clear lager has an (umm, you guessed it) AMBER hue. The medium-sized, creamy, white head is mostly diminishing. Flavor? Yep! Moderately malty and lightly tart up front. Perfectly balanced. Not sweet for one single second. Hint of clover or orange blossom honey; I can’t decide. Doesn’t really matter, does it? My only complaint is that this lager is slightly thin and watery. Light to medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. Short, dry finish. Never heard of this brewer prior to this beer’s arrival in my shipment from kyzr. Thanks to Mitch for this excellent beer. I want more of it. MaltHeads, you are really gonna dig this lager. Reminds me of, but does not equal Lake Tahoe Crystal Bay Red Ale and European Zebra’s Lager. Hey Zebra, get back to brewing and bottling that stuff.

Tap. Light brownish amber color--crystal clear. Mild malt nose followed by a bit of fresh hop bitterness. The beer is a nice balance between op and malt with a smooth, slightly bitter finish. There's a subtle maltiness to the taste, and a thin mouthfeel. The head is fine white bubbles, but fades quickly to cling to the sides of the glass. One of my favorite beers.

Light gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty. A lighter bodied amber. Malts are prevalent and slightly sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Smooth flavor. Clean taste. Nice drinkable amber. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter

Bottle. Noble hop aroma - fresh strong green herbs - backed by round sweet caramel malt notes. Flavor is very doughy - bready, lightly sweet, notes of spice followed by lightly bitter, fruity hops. Has the heartiness and crispness of a quality marzen.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a nice one inch white head that lasts. Taste is of caramel, malts, smoke, hops, yeast and grass. Similar, but strong and present aroma. Has a nice full, chewy and creamy body. It is an extremely easy beer to drink, that is well balanced and is very satisfying. Like most of their beer I’ve had it is well worth picking up again.

This was a pretty smooth tasting beer. I was pretty impressed by it. Dark gold in color, not much for a head. I would like to try more of Bayern Brewing beers but they are unavailable where I live.

12oz bottle pours clear copper with thin re-generative white head. The aroma is kind of malty, caramel-y and faintly roasty as well as sort of sugar sweet lagery. The taste is similar with modest levels of roasty malts and sweet sugar malt infused lagery yeastiness. This has a nice play between the modest roasted malts, sweet malts and a lager floral hop sensation. Nice.
