Bottle thanks to kyzr: Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel malt and a touch of earthy German hops. Body starts with about average fullness and dark caramely sweet flavor along with some mild bittering hops toward a thinner finish. Decent authenticity, but could be a little thicker.

Pours an amber brown color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, apple, some roast, and toffee. Flavor is malty, caramel, apple, toffee, and a bitter peppery finish.

Deep mahogany red-brown, clear, modest tan head. Low aroma of chocolate and banana, same on the palate, medium bodied, low bitterness. Decent.

Draft. Pours a dark brown. Tan head with low head retention and low lacing. Aroma of chocolate, ash and slight spice character. Taste of roasted malts, pear brandy with some bitterness in the middle and a semi-sweet finish. The finish is also a bit hot from the noticeable alcohol. A nice doppelbock.

Poured a deep black-brown body with amber tones in the light. Small ghost of a head. Nose of chocolate, roasted malts. Sweet, milky flavor with a nice robust but slightly thin finish.

Bottle poures a deep dark redish brown witha dissapointing thin fizzy head that quickly dissipates. Light roasted carmel and chocolate malt aroma. Slightly spicy light roasted flavor. Woody, a bit sweet and a little cinnamon. Thin and quite soft carbonation. Nice tasting but unsatifying somehow.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle via beer swap at ABA Annual meeting in Portland, Oregon. Pours a clear, golden brown brew with a thin beige head that slowly dissolves to a fine film, good lacing and white ring. Aroma of smoked apple and plum wood, some roasted nuts, sweet caramel malt, with a touch of flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated, semi-sweet with flavors of light milk chocolate, toffee, some apple/pear character and a touch of smokey brown sugar. Finish is sweet, then slightly dry with a faint maple syrup flavor aftertaste. Nice touch for a doppelbock.

12oz btl thanks to kyzr. A dark brown pour with little to no head. An aroma of malt sweetness and a hint of abv. A flavor of sweet maltiness followed by raisins and just enough bitter to keep it interesting. The abv comes through with just a tad of warmth. Light carbonation and good mouthfeel push this beer on up. Overall a beer that I really enjoyed and wish I could get here. thanks Mitch
