The Face Plant is without question a great beer for after long runs on the slopes. With it’s warming notes that will tickle the senses, one can only do one better by pairing this with a beautiful girl and a warm fire after a day on the snow. The beer is well crafted and holds it’s integrity throughout an entire glass never leaving the consumer with a bad after taste. Definitely a favorite.

Received single 12-oz bottle from trade with 5000. Pours a semi-clear dark brown colored brew with a thick and rocky off-white head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of multi-grain malt, a hint of chocolate, fruit, some caramel and a touch of banana esters. Taste is quite complex, medium to full bodied, with flavors of chocolate, banana esters, a hint of clove, toffee, some cotton candy, and a touch of blackberry. Finish is slightly dry and has a mild bitterness at first and then a chocolate, brown sugar and banana aftertaste. A little alcohol presence in the finish but not overpowering. Hope to see this beer again next winter.

Pours dark brown, medium sized beige head has decent retention. Aroma of dark fruit and dough. Taste is pretty sweet, lots of dark fruit again. The yeast gives some funk and the hops an herby balance to the sweetness. Very good beer and not even a hint of 7.5% alc. Thick texture, soft carbonation.

Bottle thanks to jake65. Thanks buddy. Poured a dark and hazy burnt orange with a 1/2 finger creamy khaki head, fantastic retention. Left lots of lace. Aroma was lots of wheat, a tinge of caramel sweetness and some earthy hops. Drinks super smooth. Flavors consisted of some wheat, a bit of bready malts and some caramel sweetness. Excellently balanced throughout. This was surprisingly super refreshing. I may just have to look more into this style as I wasn’t too familiar with it coming in. Well done.

12 oz. bottle from curly- thanks, Jason! Pours a deep, cloudy chestnut brown color with a thick, frothy off-white head that heavily laces the glass. Aroma of toasted sugars, plums, caramel malts, nuts, wheat, and some earthy, citrusy hops. Flavor of toast, brown sugar, nuts, mixed malts, plums, and dark grains. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a wheaty mouthfeel enhanced by some fruit and sugar sweetness. Kind of dry on the finish. Pretty nice dunkelweizen.
