Slightly toasty malts with hints of honey and wheat bread. Some harsh tannins but not a deal breaker. Honey becomes more pronounced on the finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Hops are subdued and it’s nicely balanced. This is a seasonal brew from the Bayern Brewery in Missoula. Generally available from February till April. goldmember (8), Great Falls, Montana, USA does not count May 12, 2008 Pours copper color with thin khaki head that vanishes. Malts dominate with a hint of lemon and roastiness. Finishes with a slight hop bite. Very well balance of flavors. Sweet aroma of rich caramel malt. Rich sweet caramel malt, some barley flavor, sweet raisins, faint touch of hops, a little bit dark. Might be a little bit oxidized... Medium body, some crisp carbonation and a little bit sticky.
