Picked up a single 12-oz bottle via trade with kyzr. Pours a clear golden orange brew with an average fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a nice ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, candi sugar, some sweet pears and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium bodied with a slightly sweet caramel malt and toffee that is very enjoyable. Finish continues the sweet flavor and a slight toffee aftertaste. Taste more of the malt than any hop bitterness in this brew.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma of medium malt. Nice amber color with an ephemeral white head. It starts a bit thin bodied. Moderate carbonation. The initial is a somewhat watery sweetness, and as the fluid leaves there is a surge of medium dark malt flavor. No burnt, no roast, just malt. There does not seem to be much hop until way into the finish. This is all about malt.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle from bottletrek.com. Pours a clear amber with big malty notes. I must say that I do not think I have ever seen a beer completely without a head, it looked like apple juice in a glass. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Nice malt backbone and lightly hopped, with some citrus notes. There was a nice subtle alcohol warmth. Light to medium mouthfeel. Refreshing.

Unfiltered draft pint at the brewery taproom, shared with my wife. Hazy orange with not much of a head. Wheaty aroma and sure enough this is a gristy, rindy, fruity brew, not unlike most American wheats. Vaguely orangey, even. Off style, but good. (#2927, 5/19/2007)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Caramel malts up front fading to a slightly herbal hop finish. Citrus notes show towards the finish. Mostly malt dominated but with light bittering relief. Pours amber with a small white head. Decent, but not my favorite style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thick amber in color with small head. Malt is what stands out on the nose and from the first taste, takes over. Some notes of fruit, with a nice roasted feel to it. But in the end, its all malt.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy dark amber brew with quickly disapating head. Malt smacks you about the face when you get your nose anywhere near it.
Best served at 46-48 degrees is listed on the bottle, and i can’t agree more. It’s fantastic when on the cooler side, but gets a bit, overpowering when it warms. Even when it’s cold, the malt wants to stick to the roof of your mouth.
Worth the $3.99 for the 6 pack I found on sale.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz brown bottle, with a great label featuring a fierce looking mountain goat in an alpine wild flower meadow.
Nice enough looking Bock dark amber , slightly hazy with a small light tan head, attractive.
Aroma is mostly malty,,its rather subdued but it is ok.
Flavour is mainlly MALTY..bitter-sweet and slightly fruity, there is hops present but they only add a nice feel to the beer.Slight lactic like sourness, which I actually enjoyed.
Pretty average on the palate, long lasting aftertaste, some alcohol detected i suspect this is around 6.5%..but I could be wrong.
Over all I found this quite drinkable and pleasant.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Moderate amber w. a lifeless body--looks like a Killians Red. Mild, carboardy hops w. diffuse malt. Some alcohol apparent and bitter/acidic finish.
