Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA May 23, 2007 Draft at the brewery taproom; Poured in the traditional slow style (nice!), this has a classice German visual appeal -- golden grain, bubbly, with a nice bright poofy head. Sharp hoppy aroma. Silky smooth and sharply, almost puckeringly, bitter. Classic German pils, reminiscent of a good ol’ Bitburger stubie. (#2929, 5/19/2007) roner77 (35), Portland, Oregon, USA Mar 2, 2006 I cannot believe this beer is not rated higher. Friend tells me the brewer uses all czech malt and hops and it’s apparent in the beer. A clean, crisp taste with an ample amount of bitters. Finishes quick and clean. I have no real problems with this one. And for the price I prefer it to some European Pils. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Jul 10, 2007 Very nice pils that just has a strong crisp and grassy finish that takes the edge off a hot day. Well built with a dry straw like maltiness, subtle, but enough to hold up to the nice finishing hops. LiebeBier (788), Annapolis, Maryland, USA Jul 6, 2005 Draft - I found this beer to be well done. Nice malty flavor, crisp finish. Perfectly hoppy. Excellent beer in the German style. philbertk (25), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 11, 2008 Purchased at Fremont Seattle PCC.
Mild lacy head.Clear thin bright pale yellow color.Mild earthy herbal floral hop front.Mild creamy clean smooth butter caramel cloying pine citrus hint body.Fresh refreshing clean mild tangy hop spice end.Malty creamy Pils. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Jul 28, 2007 Draft at the Iron Horse in Missoula, MT. Clear light gold under a small white head. Nice Pils type aroma: grainy, biscuity, and floral. Body is medium, carbonation to match, and a clean, dry mouth feel. Well balanced between a thirst quenching, crisp bitterness and a light grainy sweetness. This was obviously fresh, and well crafted. HumbertHumbert (77), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 1, 2006 Very nice, crisp, full flavored, hoppy pilsener. Possibly the best American-made craft brewed pilsener I’ve had to-date. The hops really made this for me, which were very up-front and bitter, but with a clean finish that didn’t overwhelm the palate. Maybe a little heavy for the style, but a very good beer nontheless. troopie (851), USA May 5, 2007 Bottle. Hazy gold with thin white head. Really ugly for a pils. Nice hoppy aroma with malt backbone. Malty flavour with hoppy bite. Pleasing finish. This is a tasty ugly looking pilsener.
