Clear dull gold colour, though there is a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Light aroma of apples and pears plus a hint of wheat and vague phenols. The body has some zippy carbo, is fairly heavy but yet not sweet. It seems to have quite a bit of hoppy bitterness for the style. A slight lemony, bubblegummy note is the main feature. Dry finish. Not a bad drinker overall, despite not hitting any particular marks.

Bottle. Clear golden color, fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma of dusty, peppery citrus, subtle banana. Taste is grapefruit, bread.

bhensonb (11260) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 4, 2007
Aroma of wheat backed by a mild yeasty spice. Brassy color with a white head that was impressive. Starts with spice, wheat and arguably a small bit of banana. Not quite medium bodied, but the carbonation and the spice have a pleasant impact. Nice finish that has the feel of banana without that much of the flavor. Great label too.

@Mountain Beerfest-on tap-pours an off white head and gold color. Aroma is wheat, some citrus. Taste is some sweet-wheat, some citrus, faint spice-hops. OK effervescence.

Bottle poured a cloudy tarnished gold with a lasting creamy off white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, light banana and a hint of spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of wheat, yeast and light fruittiness with a smooth lightly bitter finish.

hopdog (9018) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 6, 2005
Bottle best before date of October ’05. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of yeast, light wheat, and if I really push some banana in the background. Tastes of wheat, light lemons, light oranges, light bananas and light spices (get the trend - everything on the lighter side).

On tap at the brewery. Pours cloudy gold with a thin beige head and a sour wheat aroma. There is a straightforward wheat flavor with a yeast chaser.

5000 (6300) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2005
Bottle: Hazy orange hued yellow, moderate fizzy white head that falls quickly, spotty lacing, subtle carbonation.   Oat like aroma, wheat obviously, but very dull on the spices.   No real banana or clove to speak of.   Very smooth and clean wheat aspect.   Quite palatable, but a bit boring.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean crisp finish with only a smidgen of any hefe character.   Easy to put down on a hot day for sure.   Thanks Bill!
