7- Really appley taste, some dryness, and woody hints, but packed with esters too.

13+ All round tasty french cider. Great for 4.5%, really full, and a wonderfully natural apple taste.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 turbothy (967) - Bonn, GERMANY - SEP 7, 2010
When poured, you’d had a hard time telling this apart from a pilsener, until you sniff it that is. Lovely apple aroma, soft palate and a sweet apple flavour that gives way to a fermented bite in the aftertaste. I like it.

Corked bottle on the train from Bayeux to Paris. Pours an average glassy yellow and orange with a lively body and a nice, white head. Aroma is apple-infused maple syrup. Flavor is band-aid and apple. Average mouthfeel. Meh, good for cuts I s’pose.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 downender (4380) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 12, 2009
1 litre bottle from the Bristol Wine Company. Deep gold in colour with slight carbonation. Sweetish fruit aroma with a hint of toffee. Flavour was similar, with a hint of dryness in the finish. Ok.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3112) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 29, 2008
0.75l bottle at the Vrutak store in Zagreb Despite the abundance of the Bayeux Doux at the store, this one has been always missing when I came to the store (the place on the shelf was always empty) and then I finally found a single bottle a couple of days ago. Nice. It poured a dark coppery golden colour with a small white head that went away fast. Lively carbonation. The nose is quite appley, obviously, but kinda chalky and milky too. The taste was sweet, just a bit funky (rice crispies I guess). Not as complex or funky as they get but still passable. Ok enough.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 heavy (1490) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 28, 2008
0.75 l corked bottle, great thanks Doggythedog for digging it out finally and sharing it! Well, it poured deep copper-golden body with medium head that collapsed soon. Almost no need to say, aroma is dominated by the apples, it’s vinous with notes of cork. Quite weak anyway. Flavor is slightly apple sourish, also sweeter than I’ve expected, simple but very nice. Pretty short, bit dry finish, sweetish and at the same time dry and mouth pickering. As their deux, this is also a great cider, although far from perfect.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - JUN 15, 2008
Corked bottle, as Bayeux Brut Golden color, fizzy. Aroma of apple skins, maybe rancid, light sourness and very light macadamia nuts. Quite dry mouthfeel and thin body, a bit astringent later, with a flavor of yellow apples skin. Ordinary.
