From bottle, no 3 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange and with a white collapsing head. Grapefruit aroma, slight sweet. Flavour is slight acidic to citric, has a slight note of grapefruit. Ends with a solid grapefruit note lingering together with a slight infection.

#3 [Blind tasting session @ Papsoe 30-11-2007] Huge creamy white head that really lasted. Excellent thick film left in glass. Cloudy golden color. Butter and plastic. Some underlying fruit and caramel and pine. Synthetic notes of sweet candies. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet and light acidic with a hint of bitterness. Spicy sweet fruity finish.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 faroeviking (10300) - FAROE ISLANDS - DEC 1, 2007
Cloudy deep golden colour. Sweet citrus bit sour aroma. The flavour is fruity and bitter with some sourness and hops. This brew is a bit infected....
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Papsoe (25129) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 1, 2007
(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of KAggie97. Slightly hazy golden with an off-white head leaving some laces. Tart aroma. Fairly light in body with a limited malt base and a piney touch. But everything is really buried underneath a distinct sourness. Some bitterness in the finish. This clearly was infected and could need a rerate one day. 301107
2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BBB63 (5423) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - NOV 7, 2007
Bomber bottle and served in a standard pint glass: A slightly hazed golden hue with an initial large foamy head with quickly faded to near nothingness, some spotty lace. The aroma has notes of grain, crystal bready malts, light citric and grassy hops, and a dusty yeast ester. The taste is a moderately balance herbal hops bitterness across a layer of pale malt with a fruity undertone. There is also a medicinal note found around the edges. The mouth feel is soft and smooth, boring. Blah, blah, blah...
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 kidmartinek (2555) - austin, Texas, USA - NOV 2, 2007
Medium light musty golden yellow color. Large head, that dissipates quickly. Orange peel aroma. Dry wooden apricot taste. Very little bitterness. WTF is a Cali Pale Ale anyway?>
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - SEP 25, 2007
Pours a light-hazed, golden/amber, mostly dead, under a cream/fleshtone head... which is a little too large-bubbled to be called "creamy". Head settles slow with soft peaks that leave intermittent lacings. Mostly citrus in the nose, more orange in my nostrils than grapefruit, but there IS an underlying sourness. Rather fat-bodied, thick and creamy with some driness to finish. Flavor is more balanced than an IPA should show with a malted base providing subtle sweetness under lemon and orange. Good session ale. I like it.

22oz bomber-An orangish body with a decent head and an aroma of hops. Taste the same but not in a good way. The hops don’t have a bitterness or sharpness to them No balance to this beer.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 JPDIPSO (4956) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 6, 2007
Dark golden to bronze color. Lots of swinkles and fish food. A moderate sized, dark off-white head. Sweet aromas, bordering on sweet homemade wine scents. Aromas of over-ripe, lightly souring fruit, cantaloupe and strawberries come to mind. Some mild floral/herbal hops seem to come in as well. Biscuit flavors with a citric light fruit jam. The jam has too much pectin that causes a slight pucker. The middle is full of mild grapefruit juice, while the finish has a slight return of malt. Linger has a return to the light apple sourness. I fear this one has a bit of infection.
