Clear golden color with a 1" head, nice lacing. Cereal grain/pale malt aroma with herbal hops. Taste mirrors the smell with a lightly sweet bready malt flavor with mildly bitter herbal hops to finish. Very smooth and easy drinking.011206

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Caramel malts and citric hops. Leaves and pine cones are detectable. Smells like a well-rounded, eager-to-please ale.
Appearance: Looks pretty good, a translucent orange-amber color just a touch darker than Johnny Walker Red Label. Lousy head, but otherwise an attractive brew.
Flavor: Very woody and a little herbal. Good hop profile that blossoms in your mouth. Pronounced smack of Spanish peanuts and just a drop of coffee. I like it!
Palate: A little flat; this could use some work, but it’s still good.
Overall: Very flavorful, quite drinkable. Who’d have thought such an appealing brew could emerge from the vast blandness of Orange County? :)

22oz Bomber Date not markedPours a medium gold which is only slightly cloudy. Head is thick and retaining well. Nice aroma of pale malt and a citrus hoppiness. Some yeast and lemon also noticable in aroma. Body is medium and crisp with carbonation. Flavor is bitter with hops that linger long afterward. Nice blend of malts give a grainy flavor. Overall a decent pale that could use a bit more flavor but refreshing none the less.

Cloudy deep blond color; big fluffy head. Strange aroma, sweet, wax, a bit fruity (sweet yellow fruits, apricot jam). Medium-weak body, very astringent, light malt flavor, strong bitterness. A disaster.
Hazy golden color, creamy head. Delicate aroma of malt and hop. Medium body structure, some malt, good hopping, bringing caramel-like flavors. Medium-strong bitterness, long final, with toffee as well. Pleasant.

Pour is a copper with a small soapy white head. Aroma is some small amount of caramel malts but there is some piney hops to pick things up. Flavor is a very clean tasting citrus hop with some very small amounts of malts. Some would say this is watery but i think there is enough flavor to carry this one over to this decent catagory.

22 oz Bottle. Pours orangey amber with a moderate creamy beige head that diminishes but leaves some lacing. Aroma is lightly sweet malts, sugar cookies, honey, clover and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet with an ashy taste, pear and citrus hop bitterness and more of the ashy-metallicness in the aftertaste. Medium body, gentle carbonation gives a creamy mouthfeel. Not bad

So, if Anchor Steam is a "California Common" does that make this a California pedestrian? This beer is no slouch. Nothing to brag about, get excited about or any such, but an easily drinkable beer that doesn’t go out of its way to impress or offend.

Bomber. Foam crawled out of the bottle; rocky four finger head; medium gold color. Nice, not over the top, hoppy aroma like floral backed by citrus. Less than medium body with near creamy carbonation. Light citric sour over bread and maybe pine hop. Rather pleasant APA. Finish is fairly dry, but there’s a balancing touch of sweet hiding in the hop. Not strongly bitter, but good bitter.
