3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: very dark brown, with a thick, creamy light tan head that lasted. Aroma: roasted coffee beans, chocolate overtones, and some pine. Taste: espresso, dark chocolate, green sticks, resin, a bit of cream. Finish: lactic, smooth, and creamy. Notes: Wonderful coffee flavors. A bit on the acidic and sour side up front, but then the rich espresso flavors really take charge. The alcohol is very well-hidden; you’d never know it was 10%. Bottle at the brewery, poured into a pint glass.
