As a Bière de Garde, Acadie offers the style’s prominent malty aroma. A freshly poured beer is highly carbonated and bronze colored with a nice, thick off-white head. Malty with an underlying caramel sweetness, Acadie finishes medium-dry. The restrained use of continental hops provides its balanced hop bitterness. Acadie offers the smooth roundness of an artisanal farmhouse ale, thus this French style beer is terrific paired with most any cuisine. It wonderfully harmonizes, and has the uncanny ability to bring a tableful of contrasting flavors together – think platters of pickled okra and freshly-sliced tomatoes, hand-crafted goat cheeses, a sliced baguette, a nice hogshead cheese and cutting board layered with sliced tasso and andouille. Acadie brings diverse flavors together for an unforgettable meal. Acadie is brewed year round and approaches 6% ABV, with an IBU of 20. The original gravity of this French artisanal ale is 1.065, with a final gravity at 1.016. The restrained use of elegant Strisselspalt and Saaz hops offer a perfectly balanced bitterness with a very discreet hop aroma.

Aroma is not the best, with some yeast & alcohol burn & floral humidity. The flavor is dominated by sweetness, with some lite muffin and a dash of yeast. An average brew.

A clear copper body with an off white head that had great retention. A nice effervescence through out. Aroma had a nice doughy/bread presence upfront and a mild caramel malt note. Flavor was slightly sweet and had some nice bread flavors. A slight bitterness in a moderately dry finish.

Brilliant gold amber with an inch of sea-foam (coarse) head that fades moderately slowly. Aroma of slate, mineral, hint of caramel, herb. Bitter and slightly astringent smelling. Flavor is light grain sweetness, touch of raw sugar, hay. Body is syrupy-watery, medium-to-medium-light weight, Moderate carbonation, moderate coarseness of bubbles, but restrained (medium-light) burn, soft. Overally, an OK Bier de Garde. Aroma is lacking, too much weird Earth/stone/mineral, not enough Franco-Belgian yeast in the flavor or aroma.

Malty and floral aroma. Nice amber color and lasting white head. Good carbonation. It's very well balanced. There is spice, malt, and a touch of bright hops. It's warming and very pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle . Pours amber with a slight haze and a thin off white head. Aroma is is molasses and bread. Big malt up front but an off putting finish for me, almost medicinal, maybe an old bottle, there was no date. Not that good.

Bottle from Stein’s Market in Nawlins. Clear deep golden amber color, large white head with good retention. Aroma of caramel, cookie dough. Taste is earthy and lightly spiced. Decent.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It pours medium amber with a quick white head that eventually fades into a ring. Looks alright. The aroma is roasted malts, herbs, vague fruit, and a wrinkle of sour. OK body. Mildly sweet flavor so the sourness fades. Malts and a mildly bitter finale. Drinkable would be the best definition.

Bottle. Aroma of caramel and malt, but only slightly. The taste is like a lot of nasty malts and other flavors coming together in some sort of weird, incestuous lovesession. This is godawful. There’s a weird hoppy finish, but it really just tastes watery and bland at the end. Do not recommend. 6% alcohol.

Copper color, slightly cloudy, with a marginal white head. Not much of an aroma. Very slight caramel aftertaste, but no other real character.
