LA-31 Bière Pâle is crafted with imported Belgian malts and American hops and yeast. This is a distinct new style of beer - no one else in the country makes anything like it. LA-31 Bière Pâle is traditionally brewed ale; it is bronze colored and has a biscuity malt center. The beer has herbal hop flavors and a gentle, mellow bitterness. This full flavored beer is crafted to enhance the unique cuisine and lifestyle of South Louisiana.

On tap at Maple Leaf Bar in New Orleans. Poured a hazy golden yellow, foamy head. Taste was light and flowery, maybe a little bit of grass or straw in it. Very smooth, goes down easy. Nice beer, I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

Pours a clear classic golden with a short, quickly dissipating off white head. Nearly no nose at all. Mouthfeel is wet and crisp. Flavor is bland, even for a pale ale.

I had it on tap at Avenue Pub in New Orleans. Pours a rich copper hue with a nice head. It has a wet basement aroma and a pedestrian hop taste.

On tap @ Bayou Burger on Bourbon Street. Medium golden with a medium white crown. Slightly caramelized pale malts with estery yeast character and a mild herbal hoppiness in the finish. Nice enough.

From a bottle. Pours clear copper brown with almost no head. Tastes slightly bitter, malty, wheat. Dry and musky feel. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells like pear, cider, and caramel.
