COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
LA-31 Bière Pâle is crafted with imported Belgian malts and American hops and yeast. This is a distinct new style of beer - no one else in the country makes anything like it. LA-31 Bière Pâle is traditionally brewed ale; it is bronze colored and has a biscuity malt center. The beer has herbal hop flavors and a gentle, mellow bitterness. This full flavored beer is crafted to enhance the unique cuisine and lifestyle of South Louisiana.

Bottle - 12oz. Hazy amber body with an average off-white foamy/creamy head. Good hoppy aroma with malty, grainy, and citrusy hints. Taste is dominated by grainy flavors. It carries hoppy, piney, and grapefruit notes. Ends with a long bitter/grainy finish. Not bad.

Pours hazy dark gold with a nice medium frothy white top. Aroma is a nice light hoppy pale ale with more on the malt side of the balance. Taste is a solid grain and earthy malt back with light pine hops. Solid beer.

12 oz, looks like stamp indicates bb Aug 28, 2015. Pours clear amber with a lasting creamy film on top. Mild aroma is medium toast and lightly sweet caramel cracker. Tastes of hearty biscuit malt with a bit of toffee and tart apple. Spicy-dry finish has touches of cocoa, galangal and lemongrass. Light-medium body has a great balance and medium-high carbonation. Interestingly different and tasty brew definitely highlights the biscuit.

Flashback Pale Ale! A very nice "North American-english inspired" Pale Ale. Like we used to have in 2002 when 60 ibu APA dry hopped with 8g/L of Citra wasn’t the standard. It may not be a must, but it sure is easy to enjoy. Malty, biscuity and just enough hops to give it a nice touch.

Céréales qui me rappellent certaines bières belges.

(1415-200415)

pours clear bright golden orange with a reviving nice white head, good retention and lacing. spicy oranges, toasted maltiness - sweet grains, very peppery, lots of C’s, grass, resin, orange pekoe tea, salada-like *TM, clean yeast. light carbonation, light body - oily, assertive yet sweetish - slightly unbalanced - and spicy-piney-peppery finish. nah. tired pale ale perhaps.

A newcomer in the beer aisle at the SAQ, hooray! Pours a clear golden with a medium white head that leaves nice lacing. Some sulfur? Nose is of cereals and husk, shy on the hoppy aromatics. Taste is lightly sweet, moderately bitter and loaded with the same whole grains. Body is light to medium and carbonation high. Overall this is pretty old school and not exactly good or tasty. Drinkable but I won’t be buying it again.
