COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
LA-31 Bière Pâle is crafted with imported Belgian malts and American hops and yeast. This is a distinct new style of beer - no one else in the country makes anything like it. LA-31 Bière Pâle is traditionally brewed ale; it is bronze colored and has a biscuity malt center. The beer has herbal hop flavors and a gentle, mellow bitterness. This full flavored beer is crafted to enhance the unique cuisine and lifestyle of South Louisiana.

12oz bottle. Rating #82. Super clear copper pour with a quickly receding white head. Very mild aroma, light caramel and a little toast. Nic ebit of hops in the flavor, light pine with a touch of sweetness. (2735)

355 mL bottle. Orange, with a small but sticky head. The beer is pretty much as described above, only not as good. Not that it’s bad. And I don’t know if the Belgian malts help. Nice bitterness level, though.

Appearance: clear bronze color, hues of orange as well, medium off white head that retains well, laces nicely Aroma: hops, grass, piney, malty sweetness, subtle Taste: malt, citrus, has a sweet start and then hoppy bitterness on the finish, Palate: medium body, soft carbonation, bitter aftertaste Overall: I like this beer because it blends the sweet and bitter flavors well, it's balanced, could use some more complexity if anything ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Given to me for free when my po boy arrived very late. Tastes grassy bitter, of light lemons, earth, caramel, malt, and must. Dry on palate. Ok

On draft at Inwood Local. To me it seemed like a pretty standard APA, and a bit like a lager too, despite its claims to uniqueness. The hop profile is dry and not particularly exciting. Pas mauvais.

On tap at Avenue Pub. Pours a clear orange-brown with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet light fruits, bready malt. Flavor of sweet fruit, toffee, sweet malt. Simple but very palatable and good. 7/4/6/4/14 (3.5/5)

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was musty and dirty. The crisp and clean mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild citrus and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours clear gold, lightly effervescent with a thick, creamy white head. It’s an attractive beer. Some dusty, pale malts in the aroma, hints of pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with sugary malts, some caramel, mellow grassy and herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, some light pine resins, bready malts that are a bit drier than before, some further grass and herbs. Pretty clean aftertaste, with just a hint of metallic twang. It’s a decent beer overall. Easy to drink.
