3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from UDbeernut. Many thanks for the box dude! full founded body hits with sweet malts and gen-teel hops with a light hop addition to the entire package for a light southern twang. Biscuity but not a mess o biscuits buscuity if you know what I mean. It was certainly a nice starter for the basement work session yesterday. If I could buy it by the case, I would as it is session-able and still stands alone with the malt foundation. So Yeah buddy for the Delta South!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Taste develops from first opening til end of bottle, super fruity like driving in country spring day, slow and quiet enough to hear bees buzz, a fine one to turn French Canadians on to while visiting the region. Picked up at Whole Foods, ugh, have kombucha in three different places. The kind of beer that would be sold in biergarten at Willie Wonka’s factory. Mid life aroma, like a sophisticated perfume developed over many seasons in the heat. Sultry voice lays a heavy breath on back of neck, a whole other wave of aromatics as her hair dangles around your face, hitting olfactory delights seated in childhood candy shops, cloudy with a silt laden atmosphere waiting to spring into moss. Goes down easy as a nap in a hammock, next to a brook cooling the air with droning tribal chill upstream evaporating into natural air conditioning. Picking this up worth the work day trip to Whole Foods no matter how convoluted their shop is.
Part 2, Instacart took me to Whole Foods again, took a while to find it, as with everything else in that store, seems like it’s the same batch as earlier, a bit older tasting. The cap has a big role in the aroma and flavor drunk out of bottle. Whoever is making this seems like the kinda country Cajun chef who can make armadillo taste great and gator tail tender enough to eat with a minimum of dental care. Foam quiet as night on bayou where even the crickets and frogs know better than to make their presence known to the swamp folk who will use the former as a spicy batter addition when frying up the latter. Smells like a good old beer that someone in overalls would recognize as such, yet please the inner epicure responsible for the large belly despite lack of fast food and even grocery stores. Copper color precious like that of some treasured trinket kept under the bed in a special box by some kid who does not have tv to substitute for imagination. Grateful the fine people of Bayou Teche share this creole of sorts between modern west coast pale ale but with Belgian malts and German lager style Liberty hops.Part 2, Instacart took me to Whole Foods again, took a while to find it, as with everything else in that store, seems like it’s the same batch as earlier, a bit older tasting. 3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Veiled golden color with weak activity. Thick white 2 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with some sticky legs.
Aromas of caramel, sweet grains, and a floral bouquet. Flavors of strong roasted grains, caramel, lemon, orange, floral and herbal spices. Nice sweet bready feel with a pleasant sharpness.
Slick medium to heavy body with perfect carbonation. Medium strength finish ending with sugary roasted malt, slightly spicy, lemony and a lingering biscuity feel.
Overall a very good craft offering complex tasty flavors, good freshness, well intensified and balanced. I really enjoyed the malt quality and the nice bread taste it produce.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours an amber color. About one finger white head. Very light retention, no lacing.
Aroma is metallic. Medium roasted malts, and lots of it. Maybe some caramel. There’s a fair amount of floral hops.
Taste is malty sweet. But I can’t get over the metallic taste.
Mouthfeel is medium light body. Metallic with metallic finish.
Overall, something is not right here. It’s so metallic, it covers up everything else. The hops are weird, and give it a weird nasal feeling. No, I can’t recommend this. I might be willing to try this again, if I had reason to believe something was different about it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle. Amber orange with a moderate beige head. Yeasty, spicy malt / hop nose. Upfront, more yeasty, biscuit maltiness. Spicy hops in middle, though subdued. Refreshing and drinkable, with some bitter pine notes in finish. Enjoyable.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
5.74%ABV. American Pale ale.
Tapped out Amber. 16ºSRM.
Nose had some nice pine and citrus peel.
Mouthfeel is soapy. There are nice toasted malty flavors. The hops are pine, grass, pine sap, hint of spicy, maybe mint. so nice hyssop profile. Some hemp funkiness in the end which suggests some nice resinous flavors.
Finish is medium and pleasantly funky hoppy, though not obviously so. An almost flowery, perfumed finish.
