Botella. Grainy roasty caramel aroma. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour has roasty caramel, bread and dark malts. Sweet bready bitterish finish.

Copenhagen Beer Festival 09. Lightwieight. On the sweet side, probaly OK served cold in a proper glass. Malt and sugar.

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2009. Clear amber coloured with a small white head. Sweet aroma of malts and caramel with notes of hops. Sweet flavour of malts and caramel with notes of liquorice, bread and hops. Hoppy finish.

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and dusty hops.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden hazzlenut brown with a small tan head. Light breadish and malty aroma. Flavour is mild roasted and light spiced. Malty base flavour. Ends light bitter and slight roasted. Dominant bitter into the far finish.

Bottle. Alc. 4.8%. Clear medium to dark amber red color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, roasted, light yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (150208)

Had this one in Bayreuth. Poured a dark brown with a small tan head. Nose of chocolate and coffee, with heavy malts. Slightly sweet. A very nice Dunkel

Smallish offwhite head which quickly subsides, dark, barely translucent mahogany body. Aroma is fainly sweet and soapy. (Uh? In a dunkel?) Taste is odd, mostly like licorice with notes of metal, malts, and earthiness. An interesting beer, and quite drinkable. Not sure what type this really is; seems to me more like a schwarzbier. (Was called Süffiges Dunkles on the menu, but from Bayreuther Aktien. Hope it’s the same beer.)

Tap, at Bayreuther Brauereischaenke, Bayreuth. Jan 2005. Chestnut, good pale beige head and moderate condition. Initially fruity sweet in the nose with some developing roasted malt, soft and sweet in the mouth with hints of coffee and malt. Dry chalky finish with more coffee roast and even touches of chocolate at the end.
