Sour doughy, minimal toasted malty nose with sugar beet and gassy notes. Sweet and slightly sour flavour with a faint touch of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Toasty malty, slightly sugary and leafy taste with faint notes of caramel and cacao; moderately dry and roasty, bitter and sour doughy finish. Like a mediocre Schwarzbier from the east (14.X.08). bierkoning (5077), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 18, 2008 Swing top bottle. Brown color. Malty aroma with toffee and a hint of milk chocolate. Malty, caramelly flavor, flowery hops in the background. Nice and welcoming beer.
