COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Flip-top bottle into the brewery badged glass tankard on 6th May 2014 in The Crown Inn, Oakengates. Reddy brown chestnut colour with a cream head. Malts rule the brew: semi-sweet malty molasses reach your nose and follow along in the taste. More Dunkel than Landbier to my way of thinking, but a pleasant beer all the same. Made a nice change from all the cask offerings I’d had earlier in the evening, this rounded the session off very well.

Brown pour sturdy tan head. Aroma is almost not there... co2 only. Tastes of sweet honey, roasts, grape, millet, barley. Sacharine sweetness some residue on the palate. Underwhelming.

Bottle. Pours in a wunderful clear brown with big head. Aroma is chocolate, nuts and cereal. Taste is sweet with very light bitterness. Carbonation is a bit flat, but balances good with the bit thicker texture. Finish is short, but has something malty in it. Overall not bad, very "süffig" and pleasant.

Dark chestnut brown with an ample, lightly browned root beer float head. Spent grain nose accompanied by tannic roastiness. Caramel malt and pilsen body. Quite grainy and a bit thick--wort-like event with seemingly discernable grain grits. Hearty and full-bodied.

Mørk brun, stabilt offwhite skum. Aroma: malt, et eller andet surt... Samme i smag med antydning af humle. Medium fylde, lav bitterhed. Mørk sirup og peberagtig skarphed i finish. Virker uharmonisk.

27/II/14 - 50cl swing top bottle @ home - BB: 23/I/14 (2014-220)

Clear dark purple brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: grains, toast, chestnuts, bit roasted, bready, hint of caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium body, smooth texture. Taste: little sweet, toast, bit bready, caramel, brown sugar, fruity touch. Aftertaste: sourish, little bitter, bread, caramel, cola touch, sweet, dried fruits, little hoppy ending. Decent enough.
