COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A very nice and forgiving bear with good hops and malt.

500 ml bottle, swing top cap. Bought in Germany. Poured into a lager glass, alcohol is 5.3% Light caramel colour on the body, very clear and transparent, with a bit more than one finger of head. Average retention, light lacing on the glass. Minimal activity. Barley on the aroma, weird smell, smells also very faintly smoked. Light caramel flavour on the taste, sweet, with iron notes. Turns to light bitterness on the aftertaste. Thin body, nice dryness on the palate, light carbonation. Not bad.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Pours a reddish-chestnut with a full, frothy head. Aroma is mostly malt, and the flavor is a full, chewy caramel.

Every word in the description is spot on although the bit about mackerel related diseases (see last line) was somewhat of a surprise initially.

Not so dark. Equally average, but a good difference. Good bottles. Average beers with a little more flavour.

50cl fliptop, most interesting choice at local REWE. - pours less cloudy than other regional Keller/Zwickls, virtually aromaless apart from sweaty pregnant grains. This is one low profile and purposely average Zwickl, typically containing both hops and hop extract (minus points), too watery for a Zwickl but with no off flavours either, that remains drinkable as long as you have a plate of something hearty to go with it.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a big creamy head. Surprisingly clear for a Zwickl. Aroma of raisins and dried apricots. Starts sour with roasted notes and a bit of caramel. A bit of dry hops in the finish. Low carbonation. Too sour for my liking but surely above average

Sample pour at Blind Murphy’s. Orange color, with a small, beige head, and good lacing. Aromas of apples, lemons, sourdough bread, and oats. Very sweet, with some bitter and tart citrus. Medium body, astringent, and pretty slick. Overall, this is a nice, crisp beer. Very citrusy and bready.

Serving: from tap at Schultzy’s Sausage. Aroma: lightly hoppy. Appearance: average, rocky, white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, dark-yellow body. Taste: lightly acidic initial flavor and finish with short duration. Palate: light body, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall: great taste and easy to drink.

Color ambrato profumo fruttato e un pó floreale. Sapore equilibrato, ottima bevibilitá. Discreta.
