On draught at the Publican.
The beer pours a light amber color with a medium sized well retained head.

The aroma is grassy with some light caramel and citrus. The hops are pretty vibrant in the aroma but they seem more citrusy than herbal & the hay is fairly subdued compared to others I’ve tried in this style.

The flavor is lightly bready and dry with lots of bright noble hoppiness, mildly earthy, and it’s got not much in the way of the caramel from the aroma. The level of bitterness in this beer is really very nice in a crisp lager like this.

The carbonation is just right, the beer is not flat by any means but the sharpness of the hops is allowed to "speak for it’s self" amidst a less than lively carbonation.

I’m glad I ordered this one.

Diciamo è molto potabile, questa keller tedesca, con un bel panino il suo la fa bene, e non dispiace...

On tap at Mirabell Restaurant, Chicago. This is what the waitress recommended when they had no Maibock on tap. They serve this in a large ceramic stein furnished by the brewery for this one, but I was still able to see the head and a hazy reddish amber color. Aroma is of yeast and bread, but there’s a lot more there. Its medium body goes down easily, thanks to the creaminess. Clean, slightly sweet finish. It got better toward the bottom of the stein. Well worth a try.

Little aroma. Smooth light slightly bitter flavor. A bit of creaminess from the yeast. Not bad but unexceptional.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass cloudy, nice head. Spicy aroma. Starts a bit moldy-earthy, but gets better and better. Finish milder, malty-spicy, modest sourish. Okay.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2011 On tap at Lunar Brewing Co.. Chose service to a Czech-pils glass to view rather than the nicely logoed, ceramic stein that was offered. The color was a relatively clear, gold/amber, with a nice lid of creamy, off white foam, and good cling to the waves & spots of lacing. The aroma was typical lager and pils nose, then added soft malt, light, sweet grain, and some light esters. The body was medium, hop bitterness was light, the carbonation was lively, and a light creaminess mellowed the mouthfeel. An enjoyable, flavorful, crisp & clean lager.

Tasted on 11/14/11 from a bottle. Pours hazy, dull orange-amber with an average white head that leaves a thin, even layer of lace. The nose is cereal and bread malt with some spicy hops aroma. The flavor is the same cereal and bread malt with light hops bitterness. The body is light with average, smooth carbonation, and a medium malty and lightly bitter finish.
