Clear dark amber, white head. As with the other Aktien beers, it’s a lot of sweet caramel malts and that’s basically it. 0.5l is way too much.

Amber coloured beer, head should hold some longer. Malts, caramel, fruits and grass. Yeasty, bread, tea. More taste then expected.

Location/Date:Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso Dupont, 2/18/2012.

Appearance: Pours a clear copper.
Aroma: Aroma is sweet, lagery.
Taste: Malty, hints of caramel, hay.
Palate:Medium body, low carbonation.

Summary: A decent lager, not as malt forward as the ones I normally prefer(Oktoberfest/marzen styles) but a solid not hop-forward beer.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy, light brown pour with a fair sized white head. Nose and flavor are marked with bready malt, touches of of date and cinnamon raisin bread, and light caramel. The mouthfeel is a touch thin, but still a fairly nice brew.

On tap at Churchkey. Served in a snifter. Reviewed from notes. Pours a fairly-clear golden color. Surprisingly clear for a zwickel. A good white head with a touch of lacing on the way down. The nose brings some bready grain and a slight touch of hops. Nothing too much there, but the malt presence is quite nice. Flavor falls along the same lines. The breadiness of it is quite nice. Mouthfeel is light with a very crisp, dry finish. Finish is the best part. Quite well done.

50cl bottle with a mechanic cap. Hazy ornagish colour with a frothy and creamy off-white head. Aroma is slightly toasted malts, sweet, dry fruits are also present. Flavour is nutty, sweet, moderate toasty, with a slightly bittery in the final. Carbonation is soft to medium. Body is medium.

Dark copper colour with a big white head. Grassy bitter aroma with some cereal. Smooth, with almost no carbonation palate. A nice light malty with some bitterness and cereal flavour. A quite nice lager.

On draught at the Publican.
The beer pours a light amber color with a medium sized well retained head.

The aroma is grassy with some light caramel and citrus. The hops are pretty vibrant in the aroma but they seem more citrusy than herbal & the hay is fairly subdued compared to others I’ve tried in this style.

The flavor is lightly bready and dry with lots of bright noble hoppiness, mildly earthy, and it’s got not much in the way of the caramel from the aroma. The level of bitterness in this beer is really very nice in a crisp lager like this.

The carbonation is just right, the beer is not flat by any means but the sharpness of the hops is allowed to "speak for it’s self" amidst a less than lively carbonation.

I’m glad I ordered this one.
