COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2014 500ml bottle served in a chalice. A: Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber to brown (nutty) color forming a big and thin bubbled light beige head. Small retention and a lot of small spotty lacings left in the glass S: Sweet and buttery with notes of caramel and roasted malts. Ashy and earthy. Light flowery hops in the end T: Follows the nose. Slightly sweet grains in upfront. Very earthy in the mouth with some notes of roasted malts and ashes. Biscuity notes of diacetyl. Bready and Lager-like yeasts. Light but pleasant hops bitterness M: Light body and medium carbonation. Bready, grainy and slightly sweet aftertaste O: Good drinkability like a good German Lager should be. Charming [ BA Review @ 12/27/2012 ]

Smells like a disease, clear red brown with soapy foam. Tastes like alcohol, wood, red cabbage and an unpleasant cocoa bitterness. This is really not my cup of beer.

Barwa ciemnobursztynowa przechodząca w lekki brąz, mętne. Piana bardzo obfita, drobno- i średniopęcherzykowa, niezbyt trwała. Lacing wzorowy. Aromat słodowy, chmielowy. Wyczuwalne nuty skórki pomarańczy. W smaku dominuje palony słód, końcówka lekko alkoholowa, goryczka średnia do wysokiej. Piwo sprawia wrażenie oleistego, wysycenie średnie, chociaż czuć gaz w całej jamie ustnej. Strasznie pijalne.

On tap @ Kælderkoldt. A really good looking cloudy straw yellow one with a nice big white dense head. It has a nice mellow aroma. Straw sweetness, some orange, wheat. Nice mild. Tastes really decent also with a mild sweetish soft grainy cornish flavor. Mild oily in the mouth and it’s just above on the carbonation. Surprisingly tasty this. Says it’s a keller bier but it could just as well be a bit more interesting genre. Some old citrus water towards the finish. I liked this one surprisingly well. 11.08.2014

Bottle from Edeka, Tempelhof, Berlin, consumed on 25th August 2014. Pours copper with rapidly disappearing, non-lacing foam. Yeast and hop aromas with notes of cooked veg. Grassy, fruity liquid with a citric tang and savoury touches. Tangy hoppiness gives way to biscuit malts in the finish,. Zingy mouthfeel and fair amount of body. Easy drinking, pleasant and refreshing.

Bottle:   Orangish straw, touch of haze, small sudsy sandy head, little lacing.   Big bready nose, slightly musty, some nuttiness.   Very bready on the tongue, nearly whole wheat, mild sweetness, grassy too, some straw and hay as well.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Feels chewy.   Clean finish, lingering whole wheat breadiness, straw, hay, grass, etc... decent little beer.

500 ml bottle, dated 12/2013. Pours a pretty transparent brown with some off-white head. Cereal, caramel, light fruity esters. faint touch of hops on the nose. Taste is a bit sweet but not cloying, somewhat like a smoothed out Pilsner with some caramel. A bit thin and not all that lively, still pretty enjoyable.
