On tap @ Kælderkoldt. A really good looking cloudy straw yellow one with a nice big white dense head. It has a nice mellow aroma. Straw sweetness, some orange, wheat. Nice mild. Tastes really decent also with a mild sweetish soft grainy cornish flavor. Mild oily in the mouth and it’s just above on the carbonation. Surprisingly tasty this. Says it’s a keller bier but it could just as well be a bit more interesting genre. Some old citrus water towards the finish. I liked this one surprisingly well. 11.08.2014

Bottle from Edeka, Tempelhof, Berlin, consumed on 25th August 2014. Pours copper with rapidly disappearing, non-lacing foam. Yeast and hop aromas with notes of cooked veg. Grassy, fruity liquid with a citric tang and savoury touches. Tangy hoppiness gives way to biscuit malts in the finish,. Zingy mouthfeel and fair amount of body. Easy drinking, pleasant and refreshing.

Bottle:   Orangish straw, touch of haze, small sudsy sandy head, little lacing.   Big bready nose, slightly musty, some nuttiness.   Very bready on the tongue, nearly whole wheat, mild sweetness, grassy too, some straw and hay as well.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Feels chewy.   Clean finish, lingering whole wheat breadiness, straw, hay, grass, etc... decent little beer.

500 ml bottle, dated 12/2013. Pours a pretty transparent brown with some off-white head. Cereal, caramel, light fruity esters. faint touch of hops on the nose. Taste is a bit sweet but not cloying, somewhat like a smoothed out Pilsner with some caramel. A bit thin and not all that lively, still pretty enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a dark brownish hue, small white head, malt forward, some raisins, dates, caramel, cider near finish. Not awful but boring and uninspired. Cap does make a good roach clip though...

Poured into a tall krug, big fluffy head, aroma is nicely yeasty with some tasty herbal hops. Balanced towards appley hops, and quite yeasty, it certainly is zwickl, if a little imperfect.

500ml swing top bottle (exp 16/1/15) into signature ceramic glass at Conner’s Corner, Bingil Bay, Mission Beach, which has a small selection of imported bottled German beers to try thanks to Norbet, the owner. I was unable to discern the colour but there was a decent foamy white head. Nose offers grainy malts and doughy yeasts with a hint of citrus fruitiness. Taste is straightforward sweet malt grains with a light bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with a soft carbonation and oily texture. Highly drinkable.

(Bottle). Slightly sweet aroma and taste of malt and hops. The flavor is reminiscent of a German Hefeweizen without flavors of citrus and yeast.
