Color miel oscura, turbidez propia del estilo, quizás menos de lo normal. Dos dedos de espuma. Aroma malteado con toques de granos de café. Cuerpo moderado y carbonatación media. Sabor malteado y a pan. Agradable y facil de beber.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Cellar Door, Four Oaks.
Pours medium brown, slightly cloudy, orange touches, half a finger white head. Aroma of light malts, some yeast, caramel, toffee, sweetness. Taste of initial sweetness, malts, caramel, toffee, some chewy-ness, nuts, decent carbonation and then a wheaty, bready, biscuity finish. Nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Gourmet Haus Staudt. Hazed copper colored beer with a big white head. Combination of caramel, candied orange, grassy hops, and flowers on the nose. Kind of herbal and spicy as well. The flavor is much more sweet than I was expecting. Lots of toffee and caramel malts. Slight club soda feel to it. Decent enough hop character with notes of grass, orange, and dried herbs. But not terribly impressive on the whole.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Custom bottle with ’Original Zwickl’ on label. Cloudy orange to amber, frothy head. Average retention. Some laces. The nose is not strong & malty: grains & sunflower oil. A hint of apples. Light to medium body. Sweet grainy taste. Only a hint of bitterness. Fruity notes. Well it’s a Kellerbeer. Still I’ve known better examples of this style.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is dusty, musky and kinda doesn’t say much. Flavor is grassy with some apple thrown in. My first kellerbier experience, and i hope i’ll find better ones later.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Only a bit hazy, amber-golden colored, weak white head, almost only lacing. Aroma is of grains, bread dough and green apples. Taste is moderate sweet malt, some caramel and grains, again a bit of green apple, doughy yeasty finish. Low bodied, low on carbonation.
